President Trump Responds to the Appointment of a Special Counsel

President Trump has issued the following statement in response to the news that former FBI Director Robert Mueller has been appointed as Special Counsel in the Russia investigation.

“As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know – there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity.  I look forward to this matter concluding quickly.  In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issue that matter most to the future of our country.”

The Department of Justice has confirmed that the White House was only informed of Acting Attorney General Rosenstein’s decision to appoint a Special Counsel in the Russia probe after the order was already signed and an hour before it was announced publicly.

Why didn’t Republicans demand a special prosecutor on the Hillary Clinton case?

President Trump is now being accused of attempting to interfere in the Russia election probe, but it was Obama who actually did interfere.

As Andrew McCarthy wrote on National Review Online, former FBI Director Comey’s decision to exonerate Hillary Clinton because she was “extremely careless” and did not have intent on July 5, 2016, mirrored the words of Barack Obama on April 16, 2016.

President Obama said on April 16 during a “60 Minutes” interview that Mrs. Clinton’s use of the personal email server did not pose a national security problem. She was careless but didn’t intend to endanger national security.

“Here’s what I know — Hillary Clinton was an outstanding secretary of state. She would never intentionally put America in any kind of jeopardy,” Obama said.

Trump hasn’t tried to shut down the Russia investigation but Obama did shut down the Clinton investigation.

  1. If Rosenstein believes HIS office couldn’t conduct the investigation then why did he even AGREE to the position.

This is just another method to prolong the narrative for Years To Come.

I’ve come to the conclusion these “Republicans” in Congress are far MORE corrupt than the Democrats. At least THEY stand behind THEIR party whereas this party, Republicans, will send their brothers down the river and stab them in the back at the first chance they get.

I read where Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy made the remark that he believed Trump was on Putin’s payroll, as if Trump was or is in need of Putin’s money. Apparently Ryan wanted the statement by him and others kept secret. What a bunch of Low-Lifes.

While ALL of this is going on Congress is working on legislation to “Rename a street in front of the Russian Embassy”, led by Rubio. These people in Washington are utterly Worthless.

A very good example of Republican ineptitude, if not malfeasance in office, is how to control the narrative. Fox in Phoenix shows much of what is happening on a daily basis, broadcast on YouTube. And what do we see, hours of Democrats in front of the cameras.

On occasion, as today, Ryan gets up there with a few members and give a brief statement. They take a few questions and if a reporter confronts them with a question they end the briefing and leave. They are devoid of ANY passion in their beliefs. Elections are won on passion. THAT passion propelled Trump into the White House.

Reportedly the “Elite” donor class is worried about the Republican party and what’s to become of it and their agenda. As far as the agenda No one is holding them back. They are the Legislative Branch and Not the Executive and they cannot seem to grasp that.

They are unable to grasp the fact that they are in a cesspool called Washington and that cesspool encompasses few when compared with the entire nation. Trump’s social network following is much greater than all the viewers on the news outlets and late-night comics combined.

Many have done man-on-the-street interviews and very few are even aware of what is going on in Washington and could care less.

  2. The route of independent council is the proper one to take for expediting the ‘trumped up’ Trump/Russia collusion farce. The Democrats were so devastated by Hillary’s performance in the election that they had to conjure up excuses for her lack of the required electoral college votes. It was Comey, it was WikiLeaks, it was the Russians colluding with Trump.

She didn’t do much campaigning in the coal states. She ignored the issue of creating jobs. She insulted just about half the nation with her ‘basket of deplorables’ comment. She basically threw the election all by herself!

Since her pantywaist, snowflake supporters cannot cope with reality and show some support for our President as he endeavors to undo the damage done by our first black Muslim President, it is best that any investigation of the Trump administration be given to independent council rather than someone under President Trump’s control.

No doubt the Democrat loonies and the liberal media will continue to be hysterically vocal with lies, innuendos, speculation and misrepresentations of the truth throughout the entire process. They will do whatever they can to drag it out forever. Liberalism is a mental disease and they do not know that they are SICK!

If there was any collusion with the Russians, it came from Hillary and Obama. After all, Obama, as he promised Putin on a hot mic, had more flexibility after he was re-elected! Hillary gave Russia a sizable portion of our uranium deposits.

  3. Why didn’t Republicans demand a special prosecutor on the Hillary Clinton case?

for various reasons…some are fake republicans or “rinos” …some are corrupt and many of their under the table deals are with democrats, etc

the swamp is deep and wide.

  4. Sometimes I get the feeling that Hell Hath No Fury Like a Peaceful, Subversive Revolution Scorned.
October 1917 to 2017 would make such a lovely 100 Year Anniversary Party — Gonna be a long hot summer, but I hope and pray it’s because they know their days are numbered now.
