Presidential Quotes of the Week

President Obama has been on TV every day and his quotes are memorable, in a bad way.

On the foolishness of the GOP trying to say he’s raising the taxes, the President said, “..No one’s talking about raising taxes right now, we’re talking about 2013 and the out years.”

So, when he wins reelection, he’ll raise our taxes.

On 76% of the people not wanting the debt limit raised, the President responded. “Let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. You know, the public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury auction goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family, they’re worrying about their jobs. They’re worrying about their neighborhood. They have got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it.”

So, 76% of us are stupid, unaware and need, perish the thought, professional politicians to make our decisions for us.

Last but not least, in response to the GOP not caving to his demands of 400 billion in new taxes and 1.5 trillion in cuts over ten years, the President said, “…pull off the band-aid, eat your peas…”

Child references, nice.
