Putin Allegedly Says This Is Not Benghazi and I Am Not Obama

Russia’s president Validmir Putin is a threatening revenge against ISIS for the murder of his ambassador to Turkey by a crazed jihadi but perhaps not as vehemently as described by this tweet.

The following was added after publication.

Putin is quoted as saying, “This murder is clearly a provocation aimed at undermining the improvement and normalisation of Russian-Turkish relations as well as undermining the peace process in Syria promoted by Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries interested in solving this conflict in Syria.”

He has resolved to step up the fight against ISIS.

There is disagreement about whether Putin actually said, “This is not Benghazi and I am not Obama”. We did a search and are hamstrung by the language barrier but cannot find that quote.  The fact is, however, that it’s a true statement, but Putin probably wouldn’t come out and say it, he would more likely hint at it.

  1. Clearly missing the point that the attacker mention Allepo a city who’s civilians his supported side has trapped and is killing by the bombing ….. the entire issue likely had ‘zero’ to do with ISIS ….. though I have no issue with ‘eliminating’ ISIS
