The Republican party is officially dead. Remember that autopsy Republicans held after Romney lost in 2012? They were serious. They had an autopsy because they’re dead.
They act like they lost the election and the only explanation for that is they’re dead.
Amnesty without securing the borders is now a given. Remember last December when John Boehner said, “We’ve also made clear that early on we’ll make a direct challenge to the president’s unilateral actions on immigration. You can expect that challenge to the president to include real action on border security.”
Last November, Mitch McConnell warned Obama on Executive amnesty saying it was “Like waving a red flag in front of a bull.”
What bull would that be? A dead one?
I have to admit that they had me going there for a while. I really fell for it again. I thought…hoped…they might act to stop the lawless president.
Remember when Speaker Boehner said, “All options are on the table. Our goal here is to stop the president from violating his own oath of office and violating the Constitution…”
I seriously fell for it.
Anyway, why not amnesty? So what if gangs and terrorists come in from time to time. Marijuana will be legal everywhere and we can all just drug ourselves into oblivion when it turns bad.
The Republicans have caved in so many times now that it has become a joke.
It’s painful watching Republicans constantly surrendering even when they’ve won elections by a landslide. I can’t take it.
They should consider ignoring theleft-leaning polls and advice from Democrats and fulfill the promises made and judged in the only poll that matters in November.
We keep hearing that the government shutdown, which was only 17% of the government, hurt Republicans. How could it have hurt them when they won the election by a landslide?
Barack Obama said “elections have consequences”. Apparently that’s not the case when Republicans win.
They gave up on DHS funding…allegedly…because Obama would just veto it anyway. They also bemoaned the Democratic filibuster. If they had sent it to Obama by breaking the filibuster – the same way Reid would have done – it would be Barack Obama shutting down the government.
Let them vote no and call them the party of no.
They have no clue as to how to change the conversation but that’s because they’re dead.
Obama’s benevolent dictatorship is non-transparent. Think about how relaxing it must be to be kept in the dark and have not a care in the world. I’m all in on that.
Why am I fighting this? Democrats had all the answers from the very beginning.
Remember when Nancy Pelosi said we had to pass Obamacare so we could sit home and paint?
Well I want to sit home and paint!
She said, “Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or, eh, a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance, or that people could start a business and be entrepreneurial and take risk but not [be] job-locked because a child has asthma or someone in the family is bipolar. You name it. Any condition is job-blocking.”
Jobs are a nuisance and they get in the way of my creative efforts. I want to surpass my current level of competence with stick figures.
Then there is Obamacare. How many times did Obama and the cooperative Congress rewrite Obamacare? I lost track at 47 times.
The Supreme Court is probably not going to find for the plaintiffs on the subsidy issue. Justice Kennedy is concerned about how difficult it would be for everyone if they go with the rule of law on this. No one cares about the rule of law any more anyway.
Even if the subsidies are struck down and Republicans get to kill the bill, they won’t, they’re going to fix it.
We can even raise the minimum wage. I want everyone to make $20 an hour. Heck, why not $40? It will save the youth from going to college and running up $200,000 college loans. They can just go right to the burger flipping jobs.
Let the rich pay for it all.
I give up. Let the party of stupid as Gov. Jindal called it – the dead party – give it all up to Barack Obama.
I feel better about myself already. The stress is gone.
