A high-profile House Republican, Majority Whip, Kevin McCarthy, said Thursday that he agrees people here illegally must have an opportunity to become legalized.

He said they will have a path to citizenship (a green card) but he claimed that it’s not amnesty.

He made the comments in an interview with KBFX-TV in Bakersfield, California.

Republicans are writing immigration ‘principles’ that will give legal status to people here illegally, allowing them to work and pay taxes.

The principles are to be unveiled by Speaker Boehner prior to the the President’s State of the Union address. Democrats have Republicans convinced that they can’t win in 2014 or 2016 without legalizing people who will eventually vote Democratic by a 70% to 90% majority.

There are at least 11 million people here illegally and any plan will include chain migration, bringing that number into the tens of millions.

The Republican ‘principles’ will allow for amnesty piecemeal.

Republicans will undoubtedly ignore employers who repeatedly defy the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act by knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
