ISIS shot and beheaded another 30 Christians last week because they would not convert or pay the tax penalty for being Christian.
The outrage we saw in the beginning of these atrocities has seemed to melt into complacency. That has not gone unnoticed by Rev. Graham who thinks Americans have grown to just accept it.
The president’s reaction to this latest horror consisted of a few empty words. He never specifically refers to these crimes as a genocide of Christians by Islamic radicals.
The White House has condemned “in the strongest terms” the mass murder of 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya claimed by Islamic State.
A spokeswoman said Sunday, “That these terrorists killed these men solely because of their faith lays bare the terrorists’ vicious senseless brutality.”
In a Facebook message, Rev Graham said, “Can it be that the world is no longer as shocked by Christians having their heads cut off and then ISIS proudly promoting this on video? We should continue to be horrified and nauseated.”
He warned that Americans must make sure that their government properly recognizes Islam “for the danger it is.”
If our government won’t call radical Islam by its name and wants to make deals with the most dangerous terrorists in the region – Iran in particular – how can we possibly think the administration recognizes the danger?
Rev. Graham said the government needs to: “Immediately look at immigration reform to halt all immigration of Muslims from countries that have active terrorist cells — the threat this poses to our nation is huge and could end up costing thousands of lives in the future if we don’t act now.”
He said that again Friday evening with host Eric Bolling who was filling in for Bill O’Reilly.
Asked why Obama reacts the way he does, Rev. Graham explained that he was raised from a Muslim perspective.
The government that has erased our borders and refuses to deport illegals, even felons, will not slow down the steady stream of Muslim immigrants from terrorist nations into our country despite the fact that these refugees are being screened by the U.N., not exactly a US-friendly syndicate.
Graham said that Americans should urge the government to do its part to stop ISIS, Charisma News reports. That means the U.S. should take military action against the terrorist group, as well as block middle eastern Muslims from immigrating to America.
In February, Pope Francis assailed the Islamic State militants who beheaded 21 Coptic Christians purely for their religious beliefs, calling the victims “martyrs”.
“Their only words were: ‘Jesus, help me,’ ” the sickened pontiff said. “They were killed simply for the fact that they were Christians.”
After the slaughter of 30 more Christians, Pope Francis also seemed to wonder about who are those can still distinguish good and evil.
He said, “The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out to be heard by everyone who can still distinguish between good and evil. All the more this cry must be heard by those who have the destiny of peoples in their hands,” he said.
Last August, Pope Francis issued a stunning call for global action against ISIS.
“We have to stop this kind of genocide,” said Italian Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, the Vatican’s representative in Geneva. “Otherwise we’ll be crying out in the future about why we didn’t so something, why we allowed such a terrible tragedy to happen.”
The blood still runs and the cries of slaughtered, maimed, raped children and parents can still be heard, but not by Barack Obama and not by many Americans. There is no outpouring of horror except from a handful of people like Fox News reporter Greta Van Susteren and a handful of others. Perhaps it rolls off our backs now. Americans aren’t calling for any real action and there isn’t any real action.
The barbarians at at our gates and we won’t react until they enter our homes.
