The Mississippi man who was arrested for mailing ricin letters to President Obama and a Republican comgressman, Paul Kevin Curtis, was released today. There was not a shred of evidence found against him. Not a shred! So why was he arrested?

Mr. Curtis was the Salon.com terrorist of choice – he’s a white guy. Even that has gone down the drain. What are the liberals going to do? Now we have a ricin guy out there and he might not be white.

Upon his release, Mr. Curtis said:

“I respect President Obama and love my country. I would never do anything to pose a threat to him or any other U.S. official,” Kevin Paul Curtis said at a news conference Tuesday.

Mr. Curtis and his family have suffered under these charges. It sounds like another Richard Jewel case.

Another person’s house has been searched under the suspicion that Mr. Curtis was framed.

The AP reported that also on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters ricin had been found at a mail facility at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C.

That was not accurate.

The Defense Intelligence Agency later clarified that screening equipment alerted authorities to potential hazardous substance but an investigation found no suspicious packages or letters.

Do we get any accurate information from anybody anymore?
