Riverhead is becoming Nannyville. Competition for Nanny Bloomberg’s NY?
The public is no longer allowed to make distracting sounds at their town board meetings. Booing or hissing are out as are any distracting behaviors. Free speech and freedom of behavior are gone, out, done and gone in Riverhead town. It’s okay though – I’m sure it’s for the general good and not to make life easy for the town council. It’s not as if the public is throwing shoes at them.
Unsurprisingly, you are allowed to applaud!
The thought police have just taken over Riverhead LI. You can’t hiss but you can applaud? Is that mind and behavior control or what? Are we all Pavlov dogs now?
James Wooten, who still believes in freedom, voted against it. “Because I don’t really need somebody or a policy telling me how I should behave in public,” Wooten told WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall.
