Update: Guilty verdict on 45 counts! Bail has been revoked and he will go to the county jail this evening.
He was found guilty of some or all charges against each of the victims.
Good riddance! There is justice.
Original: The jury in the Jerry Sandusky trial has reached a verdict. There is no reason to believe that Sandusky will be cleared of all charges. In fact, the evidence is overwhelming that he is guilty with the more serious charges not rebutted.
Jerry Sandusky faces 48 sexual molestation charges. Many of the counts carry 20 years each.
Sandusky’s own adopted son has said he was sexually assaulted by his father and was prepared to testify. That is the reason Sandusky did not testify in his own defense. His testimony would have been rebutted by his own son.
The jury today asked for a replay of the testimony by Mike McQueery, who witnessed the rape of a young boy by Sandusky.
Apparently a janitor also witnessed Sandusky in a sex act with a boy and he told another janitor about what he had seen. The witness could not testify because he has dementia but the janitor he spoke with was able to testify.
