Vulgar comedian Sarah Silverman thinks we should all embrace PC because the college kids are leading the revolution and they’re pretty much always on the right side of history.
“As a human” you have to change with the times, she believes, and she doesn’t want to be like an old person from 50 years ago.
“And to that effect, you have to listen to the college-aged, because they lead the revolution. They’re pretty much always on the right side of history. The thing that bums me out sometimes about colleges is that it’s a sea of iPhones and because comedy is something where you’re connecting, it’s a bummer. Because you just end up saying your jokes to a sea of empty vessels through which Facebook expresses itself. How about this memory card? You can Google Images me, paste yourself in. What does it mean?”
These inexperienced kids are on the right side of history? Hmmm….
Communist Bill Ayers led a revolution as a college student. Should we have followed him and bombed some buildings? What about banning speakers leftists disagree with from campuses and creating “safe spaces” for whiners and moaners? Should we all do that? And free speech zones, those are part of the revolution. The far-left professors have taken over the universities, are they on the right side of history? Who will decide what’s PC and what’s not? What shall the punishments be and what becomes of our free speech rights?
She likes to curse and dress or undress provocatively but somehow that’s not a problem for the PC people. It’s all so confusing once you get into the weeds.
In summation, Silverman seems like an idiot to me. What do you think? Is she right?
