Senator Rand Paul – Remember The Stamp Act

Sen. Rand Paul

The Daily Beast and Politico insulted Senator Rand Paul for expressing his opinion which was critical of the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare. Of course, if SCOTUS decided Obamacare was not constitutional, they would have said otherwise.

Personally, I find it gratifying and comforting to hear Rand Paul’s words –

“Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be ‘constitutional’ does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional,” Senator Rand Paul said in a statement. “While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our health care right.”

“Obamacare is wrong for Americans. It will destroy our health care system,” added Paul, who frequently rails about government overreach on the Senate floor. “This now means we fight every hour, every day until November to elect a new President and a new Senate to repeal Obamacare.”

Sen. Paul recommended an insurrection (by election, not armed of course) –

“The Stamp Act was a direct tax imposed on the colonies by King George III. This act inevitably led to the American Revolution,” Mr. Paul wrote. “Just as the Stamp Act did in 1765, Obamacare should act as a wake-up call. Chief Justice Roberts provides us with a similar call to action.”

Non-liberals thought the SCOTUS was a separate branch of government that existed to protect the people from tyranny caused by one or both of the other two branches. As it turns out, SCOTUS is merely another arm of the Executive.

John Roberts, who arrogantly said the voters have to bear the outcomes caused by whoever they vote for, put taxation on steroids, selling out the American people to a government gone wild, but Rand Paul is the one being demonized by the leftist media.
