“Our hearts are broken over the assault that was made, really on all of us,” Pelosi said, referring to the Bernie supporter’s rampage against Republican members of Congress during a baseball practice on an open field Wednesday.
“But personally heartbroken over the dea— uh,” she paused, trying desperately to remember if he’s alive or not, closed her eyes and lowered her head as if too upset to go on, “of what happened to Steve Scalise, our colleague,” she concluded.
Hard to know if she’s sincere when she’s not sure what happened to him.
Rep. Scalise is still in critical condition with serious internal damage. He faces more surgeries after this third this morning. The lobbyist who is on the team Matt Mika remains in critical condition and is on a respirator. He too faces more surgeries.
The left is trying to make the attack by one of theirs into a gun control issue but he obtained his guns legally.
