Sgt. Tahmooressi Is Finally Free, WCBS Continues To Distort The Story

Sgt. Tahmooressi is finally home. He is a lot poorer and he still has untreated PTSD. He was imprisoned in a Mexican prison for 214 days after making a wrong turn. A prosecutor withdrew the charges and ordered Sgt. Tahmooressi’s “immediate and absolute release.” CBS radio slanted the story – what else is new.

Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Sgt. Tahmooressi, his mother and supporters flew to Florida Friday night after the release.

There was a strong diplomatic push by former Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Reps. Ed Royce (R-CA) and Matt Salmon (R-AZ) and talk show host Montel Williams. They met with Mexico’s Attorney General and Ambassador to the US, advocating for his liberation. They were the last in a long line of politicians who advocated strongly for Sgt. Tahmooressi’s release.

Sgt. Tahmooressi was arrested after making a wrong turn, ending up in Mexico with guns in his car which he readily admitted to according to his statements.

WCBS News has mostly ignored the case for the 214 days but mentioned it today. However, they only mentioned Democrat Richardson’s role and ignored the others who worked so hard on Sgt. Tahmooressi’s behalf.

They also said simply that Sgt. Tahmooressi entered Mexico with loaded guns in his car without including any of the details of the case. They lied by omission.

That wouldn’t be because Barack Obama refused to lift a finger on his behalf, would it?

That would be the same Barack Obama who exchanged 5 Taliban terrorists for a deserter – Bowe Bergdahl. The terrorists will – according to the the government – likely go back to join the war against innocents.

Barack Obama lives in the lap of luxury while remaining oblivious to the damage left in his wake. He is completely unconcerned about our military, half of our citizens – the right-leaning half – and he unabashedly uses his own party loyalists and constituents to further his fundamental transformation agenda.

Sgt. Tahmooressi saved his money while serving his country in one of the most dangerous places in the world but that money is gone and he is in debt. That could have been avoided if Barack Obama made one phone call to his counterpart, President Pena-Nieto.

Other politicians intervened including Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Fox News, especially Greta Van Susteren, made it a regular story without consideration of the ratings. Bill O’Reilly called for a boycott of Mexico. Many people tried to help the Sergeant – many – but not Obama and not the mainstream media.
