Facebook might be doing something a lot worse than censoring the Trending topics but when they met with conservatives this past week, they did take a step that no others have done. Perhaps it’s a good first step but one meeting won’t restore trust.
Jeff Dunetz wrote in an article at MRC: “…potentially a bigger scandal (because it affects more people) is the accusation that Facebook censors individual member pages, blogs, smaller media outlets, and discussion groups reflecting a conservative point of view. Sometimes, the sites are shut down, sometimes they are simply threatened into silence”.
In this discussion from Newsmax with Jeff Dunetz, publisher of “The Lid” LidBlog.com, and Ian Marlow, founder of FiTech Consultants, the participants explain how Fakebook silences the opposition.
Listen to this and you will hear lots of evidence that Fakebook is silencing the opposition. It’s an excellent discussion.

She was censored for mentioning Facebook censorship. Read more at Heat Street.
When Facebook was under fire for an article in Gizmodo in which former employees told of incidents concerning censorship of right-wing reporters. Congress is going to investigate and to avoid the bad press, CEO Mark Zuckerberg met with hand-selected conservatives and liberal Republicans. Some declined to attend what they saw as a photo-op.
Unfortunately, Glenn Beck did the bidding of Zuckerberg and freed him of all guilt.
Beck made a mad dash to his website the blaze on Thursday to praise Facebook and its CEO, saying representatives were “humble, open, and listened intently to everyone in the room.” Zuckerberg replied “without hesitation, with clarity, with boldness,” Beck crooned. What he found “most disturbing”, however, were his colleagues who had complaints without backing them up with facts.
Beck gave Facebook his blessing and was so strong in his support for them that he nullified everyone else’s concerns.
While Beck admits some might have research to support Facebook bias, he said that “…based on our research and my personal experience with Facebook, I believe they are acting in good faith and share some very deep, fundamental principles with people who believe in the principles of liberty and freedom of speech,” Beck concluded though he didn’t present his proof.
Beck was angry at his so-called fellows who he claimed made the meeting feel like “the Salem Witch Trial.”
“I sat there, looking around the room at ‘our side’ wondering, ‘Who are we?’ Who am I?” Beck wrote. “I want to be very clear – I am not referring to every person in the room. There were probably 25-30 people and a number of them, I believe, felt like I did. But the overall tenor, to me, felt like the Salem Witch Trial: ‘Facebook, you must admit that you are screwing us, because if not, it proves you are screwing us.’”
On Thursday, Tucker Carlson said one of the famous talk show hosts at the Zuckerberg meeting was a suck up. The only Talk Show host at the meeting was Glenn Beck who wrote the blistering article.
