Steve Bannon gave an interview with 60 Minutes and was asked about how he deals with the Catholic Church’s response to DACA. Bannon is Catholic. While he respects the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops on doctrine, when it comes to “sovereignty of a nation they’re just another guy with an opinion”, he said.
The church has an invested interest in promoting illegal immigration. Because of church failings, their membership is dwindling and they need the illegal immigrants to bolster the numbers and fill the coffers.
The Church has an “economic interest in unlimited immigration.” With a declining number of Americans joining the priesthood and attending mass, “[Catholic leaders] need illegal aliens to fill the churches. That’s– it’s obvious on the face of it,” Bannon said.

Because unable to really– to– to– to come to grips with the problems in the Church, they need illegal aliens, they need illegal aliens to fill the churches. That’s– it’s obvious on the face of it. That’s what– the entire Catholic Bishops condemn him.
