Tommy Vietor, former National Security Council adviser to Barack Obama, has been busy making a fool of himself on Twitter. He said the Talking Points had to be changed because the Republicans made them do it.
The #Benghazi TPs were written at request of the House intel committee Rs so they could go on TV. Cong forced admin to do them now attack

So, if I am to understand this, the administration had to lie about the Benghazi attack, in which four men died and others were wounded, because Congress would have made them look bad. [Okay…]
Tommy Vietor got his start driving the press van when Barack Obama was a senator – the old Peter Principle at work here. Maybe Vietor could get his old job back.
Policy makers, not intelligence officers, made the changes to the Talking Points, despite what we heard from the administration.
ABC News has picked up the story.
ABC News has obtained twelve versions of the Talking Points which underwent significant and substantive changes before Susan Rice repeated them on the Sunday news Shows, the Sunday after the Tuesday terror attack on Benghazi.
The State Department input, via spokesperson, Victoria Nuland, included requests to remove references to al Qaeda affiliate, Ansar al-Shariah, as well as references to CIA warnings about attacks in the area prior to the 9/11 attack. All references were removed. Read more at abc news
In other words, State made substantive changes.
The final Talking Points came out of a White House meeting the night before the Sunday News Shows. It is not known exactly who attended the meeting but there were policy makers from the White House, the State Department, and the National Security council.
Hillary’s and Obama’s schedules for that day are still a mystery.
Jay Carney has said all along that the Talking Points originated from the Intelligence community and that is apparently not true. He also said they just made stylistic changes to the TPs.
The style changes were to change the TP’s from an al Qaeda attack to an anti-video protest. It’s just a style change.
Oh, and they are really working hard at bringing them to justice.
Remember when President Obama took offense at the insinuation that the White House didn’t share all the information they had as they had it:
Joe Scarborough, faux conservative on MSNBC, said that the media would have picked it up sooner if conservatives hadn’t made such a point of it.
Meanwhile, the US is preparing to flee Libya after freeing them at a cost of $1 billion dollars. Some personnel in Tripoli will possibly be evacuated and nearby air bases are on alert.
Violent protests in Libya have alarmed the US, Britain and France.
