Obama likes to quote great men but will never be a great man himself. I can’t stand it when our leader goes around apologizing for who we are. ~ Joe Wurzelbacher
Obama wants to unionize the military which is the most absurd idea he has had in the last day or so. Can you imagine the military not following the orders of the military leaders and listening to union leaders instead? Actually the first people they would protest are Obama and Panetta.
Maybe the military needs a union to protect them from the President of the United States, the “Commander-inChief.”
Four Korans were burned by accident after they were used by Muslim prisoners to pass terrorist messages. The Korans were written in by the prisoners – defiled – which is in opposition to their own religion. Burning is actually an acceptable disposal of a Koran in their religion. The Afghans have used this as an excuse to riot and murder.
So, what does the President do? He appeases as usual.
NATO promised to put our soldiers on trial for this accidental burning of 4 Korans that were defiled by their Muslim owners. NATO is US and they likely had Obama’s okay before they promised a trial.
Obama and all his minions can’t stop apologizing and it emboldens the Afghans, encouraging worse violence.
Mr. Obama defended his apology to the corrupt Mr. Karzai -“It calmed things down. We’re not out of the woods yet,” he told ABC News. “But my criteria in any decision I make, getting recommendations from folks who are actually on the ground, is what is going to best protect our folks and make sure that they can accomplish their mission. [IT CALMED THINGS DOWN??? It’s protecting the people on the ground???]
“The reason that it was important is the same reason that the commander on the ground, General [John] Allen, apologised. [ As if Obama didn’t control that apology.] And that is to save lives. And to make sure our troops who are there right now are not placed in further danger,” the president said.
Within hours of Obama’s apology, two more U.S. troops were gunned down by two Afghan soldiers and an accomplice Thursday, the latest of six American service members killed by their Afghan partners since the burning of Muslim holy books at a U.S. base last week sent anti-Americanism soaring in a nation that has long distrusted foreigners…Read here: Washington Post
The latest victims were shot in the back of the head by cowards. They were murdered, bringing the total to six dead.
Now we have the useless U.N. – worse than useless U.N. – demanding the U.S. take disciplinary action against the perpetrators.
“We were very concerned, as the UN, that the international military by mistake allowed this kind of desecration of the holy Koran,” UN Special Representative Jan Kubis said.
“After this apology, after these investigations, disciplinary action should follow. Those that were behind this grave mistake should be held accountable for it,” Kubis told a news conference on Thursday…Read here: SMH NEWS [“grave” mistake???]
The corrupt Karzai weighed in – After speaking with “jihadi leaders,” about the admittedly inadvertent Koran burning by U.S. military troops in Afghanistan, Karzai wants them tried in his country. [Do our soldiers abide by Shariah Law now?]
Karzai, according to a BBC translation of his remarks made Sunday, told the Afghan people he was speaking to them after discussing the matter with “jihadi leaders,” “prominent scholars,” and Afghan elected officials, and that he spoke for the “pure sentiments” of the “Afghan nation” and the “Islamic world,” when he said: “We call on the US government to bring the perpetrators of the act to justice and put them on trial and punish them.”
At the same time Karzai was demanding the prosecution and punishment of U.S. troops involved in the Koran-burning incident, he conceded that the U.S. government had indicated that the Koran burning “was not deliberate.”
“We all know that regrettably some days ago an American soldier burnt our Holy Koran,” Karzai said, according to the BBC translation. “We condemn this vicious act in the strongest terms. The government and the people, scholars, tribal dignitaries, spiritual figures of Afghanistan, the educated people of our country all share the people’s feelings… Our people’s sensitiveness is right and is laudable.”
“The US government says that such act was carried out because of ignorance and lack of knowledge,” Karzai said. “This incident happened as a result of the ignorance of the US military officer about our vision about Islam and not recognizing the Koran. It was not deliberate.”
“Today,” Karzai said, “we had a detailed session attended by jihadi leaders, prominent scholars, speakers of both houses–the lower house and the senate–the esteemed chief justice, vice presidents and other dignitaries and our government. We discussed the matter of the burning of the Holy Koran. Representing the Afghan nation and their pure sentiments, in fact the Islamic world, once again we call on the US government to bring the perpetrators of the act to justice and put them on trial and punish them.”
