David Axelrod, annoying campaign manager extraordinaire, used the same line on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, he said it was…“a tea party downgrade” and says it’s clearly on the backs of lawmakers who were willing to see the country default to get their way.”
If it were a tea party downgrade, they would have gotten cut, cap and balance and we wouldn’t have been downgraded. In the least, they would have had the Ryan budget, and, again, there would have been no downgrade.
I guess there is no end to what these tea party terrorists can do. For a group that represents roughly 19% of the population, they are amazingly powerful. They are blowing up the economy, they’re cannibalizing, they’re zombie monsters, and so on. Expect to hear this tea party downgrade quote on every TV station and all across the Internet.
Republicans beg to differ on Kerry’s position.
“…Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. on ABC’s This Week said “the debt is 100% of GDP” and “is hammering our economy…The debt already, according to expert testimony, is pulling down growth and costing us jobs,” Sessions said.
Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty said of Obama on Fox News Sunday, “Where is his specific public plan on Social Security reform? Where is his specific public plan on Medicare reform and Medicaid reform? … He has an obligation and a responsibility to lead, and you can’t find him.”
On Fox News Sunday, Paul Ryan, R-Wis said our economic problems are the fault of both parties. I tend to agree with that assessment.
