The transit of Venus will take place on the east coast today at about 6:09 PM and will take about 7 hours. Venus will pass across the face of the sun, producing a silhouette that no one alive today will likely see again.
It is at its best around sunset.
Unfortunately, we can’t see any sun on the east coast and we will have to wait for the photos.
