President Obama was out campaigning today and didn’t bother to mention the Paris terror attack. He talked about housing in Arizona and claimed America is back. It doesn’t feel like 5% growth, maybe that’s because more than 92 million people are out of work. Obama is great at getting people to look at the shiny object.
The platitudinous president told Arizonans, “Our job’s not done, but what we’re doing is working and we’ve got to stay at it,” Obama said, all the while ignoring the reality of our world today.
Take a trip down memory lane and listen to how weak president Obama sounds in the following clip and pay special attention to Jay Carney. Carney actually questions the judgement of exercising free speech and you know he was speaking for Obama.
This administration (and that includes Hillary Clinton) does not believe in our First Amendment. In order to cover up their incompetence over Benghazi, they put a man – Nikoula Basseley Nikoula – in jail on a charge that would normally not merit imprisonment.
Obama’s response yesterday to the assassination of innocent cartoonists in France was that of a barely interested bystander. Radical Islam is at war with us and he thinks it’s over because he deemed it so. Why didn’t he travel to France to show solidarity with the French? Instead, he went to Arizona.
Barack Obama should be joining with Egypt’s President Sisi. The Raymond Ibrahim website translated Sisi’s recent speech on the issue of Islamic terrorism.
He said that “corpus of [Islamic] texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the years” are “antagonizing the entire world”; that it is not “possible that 1.6 billion people [reference to the world’s Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live”; and that Egypt (or the Islamic world in its entirety) “is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.”
“I say and repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move… because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.”
Why isn’t Barack Obama saying this?
The media is just as bad. They blamed the cartoonists for their own executions.
Tony Barber of the Financial Times wrote this:
[Charlie Hebdo] has a long record of mocking, baiting and needling French Muslims . . . [This] is merely to say that some common sense would be useful at publications such as Charlie Hebdo . . . which purport to strike a blow for freedom when they provoke Muslims, but are actually just being stupid.
He would like us to give up our free speech so as not to offend murdering barbarians.
Much of the rest of the media is on the same page. They have decided, on the basis of this one incident, that they will not show the Hebdo cartoons.
The barbarians won yesterday.
The media doesn’t seem to realize that the terrorists won’t stop at killing people over crass cartoons. Dancing With The Stars would certainly be banned because the women are dressed inappropriately. They’d have to cancel the Gay Pride parade. They’d substitute hangings instead. The list is endless.
The New York Times, which happily reviewed the painting of the Virgin Mary decorated with clumps of elephant dung, refused to show Charlie Hebdo cartoons.
The Guardian scrubbed the Mohammed pictures but left the cartoon mocking the pope.
FoxNews has no plans to show the cartoons after showing one on Fox & Friends yesterday morning.
This should help Catholics understand what they have to do to be left alone. A beheading here or there and follow up warnings is all the media needs to get off their backs.
Some of the Hebdo cartoons are sexually explicit and I can’t post them on this site. I could understand the mainstream not posting them, but here are a couple the media could have posted.
This massacre isn’t about cartoonists, it isn’t even about free speech, it’s about the loss of Western culture to a sadistic form of fascism far worse than Hitler’s NAZI Germany.
Christians are being massacred throughout the Middle East and Jews are fleeing Europe because of anti-Semitism but where is the outrage?
Ironically, all religions are being demonized by liberals like the victims at Charlie Hebdo. There is great sadness over the deaths of these rabid atheists but where was the sadness when Jews were being killed over the last several years simply because they’re Jews?
The French are marching in the streets and flashing signs in protest but will they do the same a month from now or even a week from now? Ordinary Germans have joined with the NAZI-like Pegida and they are marching too. Angela Merkel says it doesn’t matter. They must accept Islam and the unbridled immigration will continue.
All the protests in the world won’t do a thing.
Michelle Obama joined the glamorized hashtag war – Bring Back Our Girls – it didn’t bring back one girl in Somalia and it was soon forgotten.
Je Suis Charlie Hebdo will soon be forgotten too.
The terrorists have won. Our media has surrendered. Our president is an enabler who thinks offending Islam is far worse than death and destruction.
When the Jews were being slaughtered around Europe, where were the Je suis Juif signs? As Christians are being killed, where are the Je suis Chrétien signs?
Jon Stewart said he never thought comedy should be an act of courage. He’s right but didn’t he notice the Yazidis, the Peshmerga, the Christians being crucified, the Jewish rabbis being slaughtered in their temple? They were courageous too.
The French are saying it’s France’s 911. That’s pretty ridiculous. The liberals aren’t used to being the objects of hate. They like to blame Bush.
The attacks in Canada, Australia, Paris are only the beginning. As Senator Lindsey Graham said Thursday, whoever attacks the United States “gets the gold medal”.
