Our transparent government has published a 217-page handbook which is not to be shared publicly. The person who releases it will possibly be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The manual is not for law enforcement officials or intelligence agents, it’s for navigators of the healthcare law.

The following is taken from the manual and it’s printed on every page:

INFORMATION NOT RELEASABLE TO THE PUBLIC UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY LAW: This information has not been publicly disclosed and may be privileged and confidential. It is for internal government use only and must not be disseminated, distributed, or copied to persons not authorized to receive the information. Unauthorized disclosure may result in prosecution to the full extent of the law.

I have worked with the government for 23 years and all I do is deal with bureaucracy. I have never seen a manual with a warning like this on every page.

It’s absolutely insane since this is only a government manual and, ironically, the information in it has been released anyway.

Our government is paranoid. The government is supposed to work for us. In a normal administration this would be public information. If this is classified, what isn’t?

Not much transparency in this government.

The manual seems mostly innocuous. It directs navigators to behave politely and to do their job pleasantly.

Navigator responsibilities are spelled out and include: assess and address customer’s needs; help them fill out the form; assist them in assessing eligibility; help them apply for exemptions, and so on.

If it’s too difficult to get a photo ID to vote, why is it so difficult to now get health insurance?

Navigators, who will be hired with a minimal background check, will take the following information from applicants: Name, date of birth, Social Security number, protected health information such as the individual’s past, present , or future physical or mental health condition, physical or e-mail address, mother’s maiden name, information about consumer’s incomes, personal finances, debts, deductions and exemptions,  any action taken by the IRS such as investigations or penalties, any private written agreements with the IRS, other relevant information such as expenses, tax information and financial information.

The navigators are directed to not leave the customer’s information in the fax machine or copier. That instills confidence!

Before the process of applying for the exchanges is completed, customers must submit additional documentation to include one or more of the following: a driver’s license, school ID, voter registration card, US military or draft card, government ID, passport, Native-American or Tribal document, Coast Guard mariner card, birth certificate, divorce decree, employer ID, Social Security card, diploma, property deed or title.

What sticks out to me here is this is the opportunity to sign people up for the Democratic Party because a voter registration can then be used as ID. Since the navigators are being hired from the ranks of unions and far-left organizations such as La Raza, ACORN, Move On, and so on, we know applicants will be pushed towards the Democratic Party.

Did people really want to give up this much privacy and this much freedom just to get the expensive ‘free’ healthcare in exchange?

The entire manual reads like more of this.
