Donald Trump won the endorsement of the NRA and in his speech, he told members he would not let them down. He said that “Crooked Hillary wants to abolish the Second Amendment” and “we are not going to let that happen”. They keep talking about the magazines, the bullets, they keep chipping away, he added.
CNN, a Hillary media outlet, rebuked Trump, hinting he was lying. All Hillary wants, they believe, are universal background checks and stricter controls. On her website, CNN wrote, she says gun ownership “part of the fabric of many law-abiding communities.”
CNN is dishonest.
Of course Hillary wants to destroy the Second Amendment via incrementalism. Hillary wants it both ways. She wants to pretend she believes in the Second Amendment while sending out her dog whistles about destroying the Second Amendment.
The Clintons, like Barack Obama, prefer incrementalism and Alinsky-style deceit. She is a disciple of Alinsky who taught that lying is okay because the end justifies the means.
This audio is of her gaffe from last Fall.
Last Fall, Hillary slipped when she said “the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment,” and accidentally revealed her true feelings. The decision she is referring to is the Heller decision which guarantees the right to bear arms. The audio was leaked.
She opposes Heller, period.
Daniel Payne writing for National Review Online brought out the obvious despite her campaign spokesman trying to walk it back.
Her campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin said she was only referring to common sense laws to keep people safe while respecting the Second Amendment that Heller prevents.
“Along with the vast majority of Americans, Clinton believes there are common sense steps we can take at the federal level to keep guns out of the hands of criminals while respecting the 2nd Amendment. She also believes Heller was wrongly decided in that cities and states should have the power to craft common sense laws to keep their residents safe,” Schwerin wrote in a statement.
That’s a lie, as Payne points out. Heller allows for common sense laws to keep people safe at the city and state level.
In his opinion on Heller, the late Antonin Scalia wrote, “Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited.” Scalia allowed for “laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms,” such as laws for public safety.
That means she is not objecting to the common sense laws, she’s objecting to the part affirming that the Second Amendment protects an individual American right to firearms and thereby prevents the government from enacting an all-out ban on commonly used weapons.
Both PolitiFact and Factcheck.org, Soros-tied groups, called out Trump as a liar. Bloomberg and a number of other “mainstream” outlets ran to her defense and said Trump was lying when in fact Hillary is lying.
Hillary believes, like all leftists, that the government grants the right to bear arms and the right to self-defense and it is not our inherent right.
After the shootings at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, Mrs. Clinton advocated in New Hampshire for a new gun group for “responsible gun owners” apart from the National Rifle Association, which she calls extremist.
Clinton said, “I mean ideally what I would love to see is gun owners, responsible gun owners, hunters form a different organization and take back the Second Amendment from these extremists.”
None of the mass shooters were NRA members and there haven’t been any mass shootings at gun shows, which she also hates.
Hillary also wants Australian-style gun confiscation which can also mean only one thing. When she made the statement last October, she said, “Australia is a good example” for the United States to follow.
The Australian buyback scheme was mandatory and Clinton made it sound like the “buybacks” were optional, saying the government “offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns.” She likened Australia’s mass confiscations to local programs in the United States that offer cash or gift cards for guns in a vain attempt to reduce the supply of weapons to criminals.
It’s hard to believe she didn’t know. It’s more reasonable to think she lied.
