There are about 2.2 million voters in Iowa. It’s a state with few people. Only about 6% of the voters come out to vote in the caucus. If we are talking about only 150,000 people, why the hullabaloo? There isn’t a more meaningless state in the union when it comes to caucuses and primaries.
There has been a lot of talk about Rubio surging. He has surged from third place to third place but he’s nipping at Trump’s heels. Fox News’ commentator Charles Krauthammer thinks Rubio is rising, and for some reason, he thinks Trump is a no show. Trump is neck-and-neck with Cruz for first place.
About 62% of the GOP vote is going for unconventional candidates.
On the Democrat side, Martin O’Malley is dropping out tonight and Huckabee has dropped out of the GOP race.
Gilmore has no votes, zero, nada, nothing.
Trump has a message for all Iowans today.

He also told Iowans that he didn’t care if they were sick, get out of bed and come out and vote. It looks like that worked.
He heard that there might be protesters with tomatoes. He told his audience how to handle it and he has their backs.
“There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience. So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell— I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise. It won’t be so much ’cause the courts agree with us too.”
The Sanders supporters are saying they won regardless of the results and they’re right. They are making a once-shunned totalitarian ideology more mainstream and more acceptable. That is something we should all be concerned about.
Ted Cruz has won the Iowa caucus at 28%, Trump at 24%, Rubio 23%. Carson is a distant fourth and Paul is fifth.
Hillary is less than 1% ahead of the commie but it has not been called as of 10:30 EST.

About 180,000 will turn out which is a record for Iowa.
