Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told reporters that Donald Trump will not join Thursday’s Fox news debate and will have a competing event instead.

“We’ll have an event here in Iowa, with potentially another network, to raise money for Wounded Warriors and Fox will go from having probably 24 million viewers for the debate to, you know, 2 million viewers,” Lewandowski said.

No one bothered to tell the RNC or Roger Ailes.

This isn’t just about Megyn Kelly asking a contentious question during the debate. Politico announced before the debate that Megyn Kelly was planning to take him out. Megyn Kelly spends time each evening on her show discussing the Trump candidacy with people who don’t think much of him. She gives time to Trump supporters also.

Trump for his part rips into Kelly on Twitter and Instagram, calling her a “bimbo”.

Trump, via his campaign manager, decided to tell a left-wing magazine of his decision – Politico.

Trump was going to do the debate but he changed his mind when Fox sent out [his words] a second “wise guy” press release that prompted him to say “bye, bye”. Trump added that these stations shouldn’t make so much money on these debates. They should give the money to the wounded warriors.

Earlier today, Trump posted a video on Instagram in which he says Megyn Kelly is “really biased” against him. “She knows that, I know that, everyone knows that. Do you really think she can be fair at a debate,” he said.

This is the Fox statement issued after the video went up:

We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.

Fox will not replace Megyn Kelly and said in a statement that the entire network stands behind her.

Watch:

Trump has a poll on Twitter and as of 11:40 est, 59% want him to go to the debate.

The following video is an update in which Stephen Hayes says Ailes gave Trump the respect he deserves.

This Trump statement just came in recently.

  1. This is META….Über Ultra META.
Politics can be SUCH a p!§$ing match.
Well, a Category 5 hurricane just passed over it.

LOGIC would say, “Trump should do it and stand his ground and crush Kelly and the other cr*ppy moderators.”

    heh heh heh

Not this time. And: SURE. AS. HECK. Not. With. Trump.

(with 1920’s “damsel in distress going over the waterfall” silent movie organ music playing…)
“Will Fox blink and remove Megyn? Will Trump then DO IT?! Or, will Trump stay away anyway?!?”

STAY TUNED, DEAR VIEWERS, as the MEGA ULTIMATE VIRTUOSO PLAYS THEM LIKE A FIDDLE!

  2. #BoycottFoxDebate What is GOP doing about FOX’s dictating people how to vote and placing this vindictive imbecile who is completely against a leading presidential candidate to moderate in an important debate?

  3. Trump is showing the world what a spoiled brat he is. If he can’t get his way, he’ll take his ball and go home. Do you want this type of person for President?

  4. I don’t do TV. It will be interesting to see how this works. Trump has some rabid supporters. I choose my terms wisely.

Cruz has shown that he will do what he promised. Ask McConnell and Reid. Unlike Mr. Obama, Cruz comprehends the limitations placed upon the federal government.

Repeal the 16th & 17th amendments, and you’ll see IMMEDIATE fiscal responsibility, and some restoration of what our republic is.

  5. At first blush I thought it was a mistake on Trump’s part but, after more thought, perhaps not.
We have experienced YEARS of debate moderators so obviously in the bag for the DNC and the eunuch RNC do nothing about it.
Well, Trump is showing the cowardice RNC how it’s done. When you have biased moderators involved, you don’t give them the respect of showing up. Had Republican candidates in the past had that kind of jutzpah, debates would certainly be more, “fair and balanced.”

    • Did you see who Fox invited to ask questions. I’m so angry. The RNC approved. I posted an article about it. They just helped Trump but I think that’s what they want. They are trying to knock Cruz out and then Rubio will go after Trump.
