Michelle Obama has committed a whopping $70 million to help educate girls in the terrorist nation of Pakistan that is known to be the home of the Al Qaeda headquarters. She doubled the amount we have given in the past.
The money will be given directly to the corrupt government of Pakistan, which is included in the State Department’s Country Reports on Terrorism. We have to count on them to spend it on the girls. After the killing of Osama bin Laden, 92% of Pakistanis disapproved of the American government.
We still haven’t gotten Dr. Afridi out of a Pakistani jail. Dr. Shakil Afridi was the physician who agreed to help us capture Osama bin Laden. Oh, wait, we can’t, he was murdered in March as he awaited a new trial. We left him behind after he helped us.
The $70 million of taxpayer money is part of the First Lady’s initiative (Let Girls Learn) to educate and empower an estimated 62 million girls in third-world countries who are not in school.
During a star-studded Festival in New York City Central Park, Michelle Obama relaunched her global education campaign to educate the world’s 62 million uneducated girls. Funding by the U.S. will be paramount and will increase over time.
The goal of the event was to raise awareness of our alleged global obligations.
We can’t educate the children in Detroit but we can educate 62 million girls around the world.
In the Detroit public school district, 96 percent of eighth graders are not proficient in mathematics and 93 percent are not proficient in reading, according to the results of the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress tests published by the Department of Education’s National Center for Educational Statistics as reported by CNS News.
The Detroit public schools have $515 million in debt and Chicago public schools will lay off as many as 5,000 teachers by Thanksgiving if the state doesn’t bail them out to the tune of $500 million.
The Michelle education campaign was originally set to focus efforts in 12 countries: Albania, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Georgia, Ghana, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Togo and Uganda and more countries will be added. She’s already sending money to Pakistan.
“I see myself in these girls. I see my daughters in these girls. These girls are our girls, and I simply can’t walk away from them. So for me, this is truly a moral issue,” she said in a videotaped message played during the event in Central Park.
I wonder if she sees the youth of Baltimore in her daughters. They could use some help.
It’s so nice of her to help the world but she should remember it’s OUR money.
