USDA Spending Tax Dollars to Encourage Dependence on Government

Food stamps are now called “SNAP” or The Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. There is no more standing on lines or having to bother with any annoying waits – just go online. You don’t have to be in the country legally either. The government now gives credit cards so they can spend our tax money without any stigma attached.

The USDA site encourages spreading the word. They have brochures on their site which gives ideas on how to get more people on SNAP. One brochure suggests that seniors “Throw a Great Party. Host social events where people mix and mingle.” They give them ideas for games they can play, all aimed at showing people the benefits of food stamps and how to get on food stamps.

Need we wonder why the program is full of waste and fraud?

The USDA’s promotional campaign is costing between $2 and $3 million.

This is all about making more people dependent on the government and turning us into a welfare state using the tax money of the employed, a number which is not going up under this President.
