[Van] Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.” ~ Van Jones
US News & World Report quotes Van Jones as warning this will be a “turbulent” election year. Van Jones, a self-aggrandizing communist, is starting a leftist version of the Tea Party. I guess a leftist tea party is like the British winning the Revolutionary War and taxing us all to death.
Van Jones plans to kick it all off on MLK day. As a former rioter himself, I suppose he will be happy to kick off a race riot as well.
He’s hardly like the tea party. I never heard them call for turbulence and disgusting OWS antics as he is. I don’t know how far Van Jones will go, but I personally believe he will push it to the limits.
I worked with a teacher once who was always starting trouble. He’d often lie as part of his troublemaking. I asked him once why he did it and he said, “I love to start things and watch how it goes down. I love the excitement.” His name could have been Van Jones. It’s the same mentality – makes them feel important.
The name of the Van Jones tea party is “Rebuild the Dream.” Since he is a communist, it’s not a dream I want any part of.
