Vote Democrat! Give Totalitarianism a Chance!

The Democratic Party is becoming the party of Totalitarianism. Don’t call them liberals, it plays into their false narrative.

Totalitarianism enshrines the idea that the will of the leader is law, that the power of the state must be total and that enemies of the people must be liquidated. That is the main goal of the Democrat Party.

In September, 2014, Harry Reid brought SJ Res 19, to repeal the heart of the First Amendment, to the Senate floor for a vote. The result must be considered stunning by all Americans who value their freedoms. Every Senate Democrat–every one, a 54-vote majority–voted for First Amendment repeal.

The Democrats pretended that it was a vote to reverse the demonized Citizens United decision which was not true.

The Amendment says:

Section 1. To advance democratic self-government and political equality, and to protect the integrity of government and the electoral process, Congress and the States may regulate and set reasonable limits on the raising and spending of money by candidates and others to influence elections.

It began in 2012, after the SCOTUS determined corporations have free speech, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi endorsed a movement announced by other congressional Democrats to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech.

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

Television and radio networks, newspapers, publishing houses, movie studios and think tanks, as well as political action committees, are usually organized as, or elements of, corporations. This is what the Democrats want to regulate.

They’ve repeatedly tried to monitor newsrooms. One such attempt was under the guise of a newsroom study.

The survey called for a Critical Information Needs Study (CIN), which as part of its conclusions, required researchers to enter newsrooms and inquire about how editorial decisions were made.  The study was to include print media over which the FCC has no jurisdiction.

It was a blatant attempt to influence what news is reported and how it is reported according to the government priorities. We’d be hearing lots of news on climate change.

Net Neutrality is control of free speech. It is control over Broadband and their rights under the First Amendment.

There is essentially no difference between the free speech rights of Broadband and Internet providers like Google. Once Broadband lost their First Amendment rights, how can service providers not be far behind?

Every year the Senate and the House attempt to pass The Hate Crime Reporting Act which reports on the role of telecommunications – the Internet, radio, and TV – “in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.”

Under these bills, the Obama administration gets to decide the definition of hate speech in the media. The bill was supported by 45 civil rights and social justice groups including the very left of center Media Alliance.

Then there is the public’s right to monitor its government.

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has been stripped bare under this president.

In a jaw-dropping move, a Justice Department lawyer told the Supreme Court in 2013 that the administration disagrees with decades of court rulings that exceptions to FOIA should be “narrowly construed” because of the law’s presumption in favor of transparency. The White House does not agree with long-established Supreme Court precedent-favoring disclosure.

“We do not embrace that principle,” Assistant Solicitor General Anthony Yang told a stunned Justice Antonin Scalia.

The White House counsel demanded to receive, review and have access to information they previously had no review over.

FOIA requests are not fulfilled.

The FEC is also out to limit free speech.

Democratic FEC Vice Chair Ann M. Ravel wants regulations that would treat Internet campaigns, youtube, blogs such as Drudge like PACs. Until now they have been free of most FEC rules.

FEC Chairman Lee E. Goodman, a Republican, described what Ms. Ravel wants as something like a Chinese censorship board.

The effort was blocked by three Republicans and Ravel is now working on propaganda through outlets such as HuffPo.

Big Brother – our federal government – is financing a program to track hate speech and misinformation. The taxpayer investment was one million dollars. They plan to monitor “suspicious memes” and what it considers “false and misleading ideas.”

It’s called the “Truthy” database and will “detect political smears, astroturfing, misinformation, and other social pollution.”

In reality, it will shut down free speech if they start demonizing opposing opinions. These are the same people who target innocent Americans who disagree with them.

They also plan to look into shady campaign practices. We know what party they will be investigating.

“Truthy” claims to be non-partisan. However, the project’s lead investigator Filippo Menczer proclaims his support for numerous progressive advocacy groups, including President Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action, Moveon.org, Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, Amnesty International, and True Majority.

The Federal government now uses psychologists and behavioral scientists to “nudge” Americans with their messages. All they should be doing is presenting information, manipulation is evil.

They want to put people in jail if they don’t believe in climate change as an existential threat when it’s obviously a globalist move to control the populace.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse wants to prosecute global warming deniers. He wants scientists, TV outlets, the “vast denial apparatus” sued.

Everyone has to believe what he believes and everyone has to publicly say what he approves of.

He’s not alone. More and more voices are calling out for prosecution of climate deniers under the RICO Act – The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

They want to put people in jail for disagreeing with them.

Free speech is the First of the Amendments for a reason and they know it. If it falls, all others fall as well.

When Barack Obama says – “we’re going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues” – believe him.

Rolling Stone which once was recognized as a radical leftist publication is now considered a legitimate media outlet, so much so that the secretary of state, John Kerry, is granting them interviews.

During an interview posted on December 1st, Rolling Stone asked Kerry about the ridiculously out-of-proportion climate change threat. The question was: “Given what’s at stake, do you consider Exxon Mobil or the Koch brothers an enemy of the state?”

The term “enemy of the state” is used by authoritarian governments and is considered a manifestation of political repression as pointed out by Kevin Williamson of National Review Online.

Kerry responded by saying that “Exxon Mobil stands potentially to lose billions of dollars in what I would imagine would be one of the largest class-action lawsuits in history.”

They hope to launch an attack against Exxon similar to the one they leveled against the tobacco industry.

These leftists are pretending Exxon Mobil is profiting by “misrepresenting its knowledge about the damage its product is doing to the planet”.

They want to take over a major corporation which provides our energy.

That is Totalitarianism. Vote Democrat in 2016 and that’s what you will get.
