A Washington Post reporter believes he knows why crime is rising so dramatically in our major cities – it’s because of income inequality!
That’s the answer! More Socialism to cure criminals who want to kill, rape and steal.
Apparently he hasn’t noticed that big, enormous elephant in the room.
The New York Times reported that major cities across the nation are seeing a startling rise in murders after years of declines.
That is especially true of New York City which is being governed by a Communist.
More than 30 other cities have reported increases in violence from a year ago. In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014. In Washington, the toll was 105, compared with 73 people a year ago. And in St. Louis, 136 people had been killed this year, a 60 percent rise from the 85 murders the city, the Times reported.
The Times referred to the “theory” that “intense national scrutiny of the use of force by the police has made officers less aggressive and emboldened criminals.”
They also wrote that no one really knows why it is happening.
Clearly, a direct line can be drawn from the leftist policing policies that have taken hold to the rise in crime, but the media is rewriting history and counting on Americans not noticing.
Budgets have been cut, officers are not being supported – quite the opposite, and officials like the mayor of Baltimore are letting “protesters” blow off steam which includes burning and looting stores. The same thing happened in Ferguson.
Cops are being arrested if they make mistakes – mistake are now criminalized. Every move they make with a minority is questioned and Obama’s takeover of numerous local police jurisdictions has forced leftist policing on them.
Sheriff David Clarke addressed it well back in July.
A leftist-egghead writer for the Washington Post who sits on their editorial board – Jonathan Capehart- blamed income inequality on Morning Joe Wednesday.
“I think when crime like this goes up, there are a whole lot of factors here which I think Mike is getting to. It’s the economy, in not reaching folks. We have been talking around this set and on lots of shows and on lots of networks about the divide the huge gap in income I should say the income and equality that’s out there where you got people at the very top who are doing extremely well. People who are at the bottom rung of the economic ladder not doing well and doing worse, especially since the economic collapse of 2008,” Jonathan Capehart claimed.
It’s absurd. Why did it happen in the last year then? Why didn’t it happen in 2008?
Actually, he’s right. The criminals want to equal out their incomes by stealing other peoples’ money.
