We Are Replacing Our Institutions with Something “Darker, More Rigidly Conformist”

The leftists will never stop. If you give them something they want, they will demand more and the road to oppression will continue without end. They want to destroy our free speech, our freedom of religion, our right to own guns, our Constitution, our military and police forces, our separation of powers, our two-party system, our history, our rule of law. Statues have little to do with what is going on right now.

The removal of confederate statues is only a path to destroy our institutions. It’s an iconoclastic movement by the leftists no different from that of Mao, Lenin, the Taliban. This is not about the confederacy, it’s Saul Alinsky-ites and leftists taking us down to gain power and control.

We can now see where it is headed and we had better speak up now. Why not build monuments to notable minorities like George Washington Carver and Harriet Tubman?

The Congressional Black Caucus on Capitol Hill want the confederate statues in the Capitol removed. “We will never solve America’s race problem if we continue to honor traitors who fought against the United States in order to keep African-Americans in chains. By the way, thank god, they lost,” Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cedric Richmond (D-La.) told ABC News.

Unfortunately, the CBC is very far left and while they have a good point about statues representing these men, they are part of our history. That’s almost besides the point. If it would stop at confederate statues in public places, it would be one thing, but it will not.

Lee is among the 10 Confederates whose statues remain in the Capitol, lionizing a slaveholding era and sparking calls this week from some House Democrats to rid the building of their likenesses.

Politico subtly suggests it’s only white racists who want to keep the symbols, which they have made more important than they ever were: But the protesters weren’t waving the stars and stripes. America’s resurgent white-nationalist movement thrives on the power of imagery and symbolism, especially the symbols of the Confederacy. And right in the United States Capitol, there’s a collection of monuments to their cause.

Eight statues of Confederate leaders currently reside in the National Statuary Hall Collection on Capitol Hill. They include Confederate President Jefferson Davis, Vice President Alexander Stephens, and General Robert E. Lee.

The goal by revisionists is to erase our history and our pride in country, making way for global socialism, which is actually neo-communism.

There are calls by leftists to dig up confederate cemeteries and bulldoze over them or, in the case of Arlington, replace them with others.

John Daniel Davidson of The Federalist told Tucker Carlson yesterday on his Fox show: “I remember two years ago we had the 150th anniversary of the Confederate surrender and you had people in the mainstream media at that time calling for the desecration of Confederate graves,” Davidson said.

“Not just tearing down statues but digging up remains, removing them. You know, bulldozing over cemeteries — and this iconoclastic impulse is native to the Left. This is what China’s cultural revolution was all about. If you want to see where tearing down statues by mobs will get you, look at pictures of China’s cultural revolution where they tore down statues, temples.”

One group began digging up General Nathan Forrest’s and his wife’s grave on their own in an act of vandalism.

Some zealots are demanding that Theodore Roosevelt’s statue be removed form his beloved American History museum. They declared the man who had the first black man to the White House, George Washington Carver, a racist.

They say they are concerned about indigenous people over whites who came later, yet they love immigrants. Many of the indigenous people are foreigners from south of the border who have no claim to the Unites States.

Students at at the University of Missouri demanded Thomas Jefferson’s statue be taken down because of his history of slavery.

The Marxist-Leninist group, “Take ’em Down NOLA” under Malcolm Suber, wants the statue of Andrew Jackson taken down. He and his group are also targeting George Washington, Andrew Jackson, and all “white” monuments in the city.

From The New York Times:

[Suber] noted that he had been part of a group that persuaded the Orleans Parish School Board to pass a policy in 1992 that prohibited schools from being named for slave owners. It eventually led to a school called George Washington Elementary being renamed for Dr. Charles Richard Drew, a prominent black surgeon.

On Thursday, Mr. Suber chuckled mischievously and said he would be delighted to see the statue of Washington over by the New Orleans Public Library come down, too.

“He was a slave master,” he said. “Right?”

The Jefferson Memorial in D.C., which stands as a monument to the Declaration of Independence which he wrote, is also subject to being removed.

CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield this week questioned whether the Jefferson Memorial should be taken down because Jefferson owned slaves. “There is a monument to him in the capital city of the United States. No one ever asks for that to come down,” Banfield said.

Don Lemon said there might come a day we want to rethink the Jefferson Memorial.

This is clearly an effort to rewrite history and to obliterate our value as a country. It is being driven by the hard left who exploit the anger and fear of some people to destroy the country.

It’s unAmerican but the hard left are America haters. They hate our values and all the we stand for. They only see our flaws and not the good we’ve done and the great gifts we have been given.

Tucker Carlson and John Daniel Davidson discussed the movement by the leftists to shut down free speech and to destroy our institutions. Do we really want to live in an oppressive society of group think and only-race-matters?

We are being scared off by Democrats who buy into the hard left. We don’t want to be racists associated with the Nazis or KKK. The end result is we will not think for ourselves, fight for our institutions and our beliefs.
