Iran’s peaceful nuclear program on display

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei hinted that he disapproved of Rouhani’s phone call with Mr. Obama last month but said he supports the Iranian president’s policy of outreach to the West.

He approved of the trip to the UN but not the call. He said in an address to his nation – “But some of what happened in the New York trip was not appropriate,” making a thinly veiled reference to the phone call.

Khamenei said the US is ‘untrustworthy.’

Hard-line commanders in the Revolutionary Guard said Rouhani went too far by speaking with Obama on the phone.

Khamenei wouldn’t miss out on a chance to delay sanctions and will not completely ignore Mr. Obama’s entreaties to sit down and talk. Mr. Obama has elevated Iran with his weak handling of them.

Rouhani is masterful at tricking the West into believing he is negotiating when in fact he is merely buying time to build the bomb. He has done it before. Check it out here.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warns that the Iran is developing Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) which are capable of hitting the United States. “The American intelligence knows as well as we do that Iran is developing ICBMs not to reach Israel. They want to reach well beyond,” he said during a CBS interview on “This Morning” program. “They’re not developing those ICBMs for us. They can reach us with what they have. It’s for you.” The networked quoted a senior Israeli security official as saying that the threat of Iranian ICBMs is a “few years” away.

Unbelievably, President Obama has instructed Secretary of State John Kerry to not increase sanctions on Iran and put the lessening of existing sanctions on the table with no plausible justification. Iran has given him no reason to believe anything worthwhile will come from it but it will give Iran the time they need to develop the bomb.

Rouhani wouldn’t even shake Obama’s hand or meet with him at the UN last month despite three pleas from Obama to do so.
