The mentally deranged gunman who killed three people and injured nine at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs lived like a Theodore Kaczynski in a cabin in the woods of North Carolina without heat, electricity or running water. He had a record of arrests and “incidents” but unlike so many cases in the past in which the gunman had leftist views, this one might have a motive that can be blamed on the right.
NBC is reporting that he told police, “no more body parts” but he said a lot of things, according to police and they cannot determine a motive as yet.
Citing two law enforcement sources, the network reported Dear’s ramblings were so disjointed, it wasn’t clear whether the mention of baby parts was enough to establish a concrete motive.
He also mentioned Barack Obama but it is not known in what context.
Neighbors and family have no idea why he did it.
A new report by the New York Times has revealed that Dear was once a happily married family man who lived with his wife and son in South Carolina.
Since his 2000 divorce, Dear seems to have declined into a loner who lives in a remote cabin, seeking bondage and sadomasochistic sex online and smoking marijuana.
Before their divorce, Dear was an independent art dealer and earned a degree in public administration from a Midwestern college, Ross told the Times. She said that Dear believed abortion was wrong, but ‘it was never really a topic of discussion’.
He will be in court on Monday.
As soon as the killer was named, Barack Obama said on Saturday the US had “to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them”.
“Period,” the president added, in a statement released by the White House. “Enough is enough.”
That’s how I feel about Barack Obama telling us we have to whittle away our Second Amendment rights – enough is enough.
In his statement, Obama said: “We don’t yet know what this particular gunman’s so-called motive was for shooting 12 people, or for terrorising an entire community.
“What we do know is that he killed a cop in the line of duty, along with two of the citizens that police officer was trying to protect. We know that law enforcement saved lives, as so many of them do every day, all across America. And we know that more Americans and their families had fear forced upon them.”
Everything is political with Obama.
As usual, he didn’t waste any time. He knows they only way to achieve what he wants is to take guns away from legal gun owners, period. The man might have had propane tanks with him, ready to bomb the place. Will Obama ban propane tanks?
Dear had no charges pending, no felony and he was not declared mentally ill so what law would have stopped him?
Planned Parenthood has already decided on the motive and attacked David Daleidon and The Center for Medical Progress for exposing some of their more nefarious transactions. They also called the act “domestic terrorism” without knowing the motive and later changed it to “acts of violence” in their statement.
Daleidon has come out in condemnation of the attack on the clinic.
The leading Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, expressed their support for Planned Parenthood. They have not as yet shown concern for the victims.
All we know so far about the victims is the wounded officers are going to survive and are sad but happy the man is caught without a worse loss of life.
Dear had a long list of “incident reports” according to The Daily Beast. He has been accused of animal abuse, domestic abuse and leering. He pushed his wife out a window and threatened a next door neighbor – who Dear had been making “unwelcome advancements” to. Dear showed up in their backyard to “leer” at the neighbor and was charged with a “Peeping Tom” violation, which was later dropped.
In addition to the cabin in North Carolina, his neighbor told the New York Daily News, he also had a trailer in South Carolina.
“If you talked to him, nothing with him was very cognitive — topics all over place,” North Carolina neighbor James Russell told the Daily News.
His cabin in North Carolina has a makeshift cross on it. A local activist pro-life priest has confirmed that Dear was not a member of any local pro-life activist group.
Dear’s age has been reported as both 57 and 59, but public records indicate that he is 57. His family is from South Carolina, according to public records and his father’s obituary.
He is registered as an unaffiliated voter. He’s NOT a REPUBLICAN.
According to his voter registration, he was identified at the time as a woman, gender was listed as “Female”. It could have been a clerical error, but not likely. This comes via Truth Revolt.
Authorities weren’t ready to discuss a possible motive after interviewing 57-year-old suspect Robert Lewis Dear, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers said, according to the LA Times.
Those who know Dear said he betrayed few religious or political leanings.
When he was in South Carolina living in a double-wide trailer, neighbors said he hid food and skinny-dipped, NBC local reported.
Neighbor John Hood said Dear made money by selling prints of his uncle Bill Stroud’s paintings of Southern plantations and the Masters golf tournament.
Hood said that Dear rarely talked to them, and when he did, he offered unsolicited advice, including recommending that Hood put a metal roof on his home so the U.S. government couldn’t spy on him.
He’s a legitimate tin-foil hat guy.
Some neighbors who said they knew Dear but didn’t want to give their names because they said they were fearful he might retaliate.
Russell and others said the only companion they saw with Dear was a mangy dog, who looked to be in such bad shape they called animal control because they worried he was beating it.
When someone is this deranged, he’s neither right nor left nor is his motive necessarily relevant.
