The White House spokesman Josh Earnest was asked about Meryl Streep’s Trump bashing last night. He said she delivered a “thoughtful, carefully delivered message”. It was funny how Earnest claimed President Obama is not criticizing Trump because he wants a smooth transition. Obama not only takes constant pot shots at Trump, he’s undermining him in every way imaginable.
Praising Streep is another way to undermine.
Kellyanne Conway said Streep is “inciting peoples’ worst instincts” when she was asked about the Streep speech last evening.

“But you’re right. Hollywood and much of the left, I mean, in New York City people are so walking around with black arm bands because they can’t believe that America let them down and elected Donald Trump,” Conway told the Fox & Friends panel.
Streep repeated the false claim that Donald Trump mocked a disabled reporter.
Kellyanne Conway told the Fox & Friends hosts that “she is glad Meryl Streep has such a passion for the disabled because I didn’t hear her weigh in and I didn’t even hear her use her platform last nigh, Ainsley, to give a shout out to the mentally challenged boy last week who was tortured live on Facebook for half-an-hour by four young African-American adults who were screaming racial and anti-Trump expletives and forcing him to put his head in toilet water. So I’d like to hear from her today, if she wants to continue her platform on behalf of the disabled.”
As she said, Trump has debunked this phony story of mocking a disabled reporter so many times.

Speaking positively of Streep’s Trump bashing is an odd way to ensure a “smooth transition” as we were promised.
