Twenty-three year-old Rebecca Carey spent countless hours rescuing dogs off the street to find homes for them. She was found dead on Friday from multiple dog bites.
She had six rescue dogs and one dog she was dog sitting for her friend. She was an experienced dog handler. Keeping these dogs at her home should not have been a problem.
Since it is not known how many dogs took part in the attack, all must be euthanized.
Her family does not want all the dogs euthanized because, they said, Rebecca would have been horrified to know that the dogs were being killed because of her death.
Since it is not known which dogs took part in the attack, they must all be euthanized, authorities said. Authorities cannot take a chance on a repeat event.
