George Stephanopoulos’s dramatic and carefully scripted interview with Alec Baldwin is even worse than we reported yesterday. We have two points that need to be looked at. (clips below)
For one thing, it sounds like he’s blaming the woman he killed, and he feels no guilt whatsoever. He doesn’t know who is responsible for her death, but it’s not him.
He shot her but said she told him to point the gun at her.
There are others who seem to bear responsibility, but he is one of them. It is not Halyna’s fault.
The bottom line is he was the one with the gun and he should have known to never point a gun at anyone.
Also, how can he feel no guilt at all? He shot and killed this mother, wife, daughter, Halyna Hutchins.
He also claimed he thumbed the hammer but did not pull the trigger. So, we are left with two choices. One, there is something wrong with the gun. Two, he didn’t realize he depressed the trigger.
The idea that he didn’t have his finger on the trigger and the gun went off anyway is maybe possible. Do any gun owners out there know?
“I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them,” Baldwin said.
Wrong! He shouldn’t have pointed the gun at her at all, and it doesn’t matter what she said.
“I cock the gun. I go, ‘Can you see that? Can you see that? Can you see that?’” Baldwin told ABC. “And then I let go of the hammer of the gun, and the gun goes off. I let go of the hammer of the gun, the gun goes off.”
It seems unlikely. He probably held or had some pressure on the trigger as he pulled the hammer back. When he pulled the hammer, the trigger allowed the gun to fire.
He’s lying or didn’t realize, in our opinion. In any case, the only reason for him to make this movie-interview is to clear himself. He should never have done the interview as the sheriff advised, but here he is…
He never should have pointed the gun at Halyna and he should have checked the chamber himself. If he couldn’t determine whether they were dummies, he should have called the armorer over.
Baldwin’s a jack.

put the shovel down Alex put it down you dumb a$$
I’m no expert, but there is a thing called ‘trigger pull’. Some guns have a ‘hair trigger’, which means it takes very little pressure to activate the trigger. Others have a harder trigger pull, something like 10 pounds or so (try holding something of 10 pounds with one finger, not so easy). The gun in this case required the hammer to be pulled back to ‘cock’ the weapon and then the trigger to be pulled in order to fire. When ‘un’ cocking a weapon, you usually pull it back a little and then ease it back to the inactive position. Did he pull it back and then not ease it back, instead letting it fall hard on the primer? I guess that’s possible. But, from my limited, inexpert, position, he did everything wrong and nothing right here. Bottom line, he is the producer, so safety should fall on his shoulders first. Second, he should never have allowed live ammunition on site (remember, they were target shooting on site in their off hours, using live rounds). Third, he should have personally checked his weapon. Even if someone else says they checked it, you ALWAYS double-check. Fourth, he had his finger on the trigger. If, as he says, they were just figuring out a shooting sequence, why cock it at all? Fifth, HE was holding the gun, pointing it in an unsafe manner, when it discharged–making HIM the responsible party. Accidental or intentional, whatever, but his lack of remorse says an awful lot about him.
Even is someone brought live ammunition on the set when they weren’t supposed to . . .
Even if the woman said, “Point the gun at me.” . . .
Even is he never actually pulled the trigger . . . .
He is responsible because the gun was in his hand, not in the hand of someone else.
“Sorta cocked it….” Isn’t that precious. Fact is, the only way a single action 6 can fire is to somehow cock it first, and when it is cocked, you’re looking pretty much at a hair trigger after that.
Wow! Alex Baldwin just created the ‘Magic Gun’ defense for all the demoncrat thugs who happen to get arrested in shootings.
I can see it now; ” I dinnt du nutin, I wuz only holdin da gun, it went off all by itself, jus like that crazy Baldwin dude!”
All I can say, is Baldwin is obviously of low moral character, and is willing to lie about his actions so he won’t be held accountable.
Which is exactly the example so many Democrat (and quite a few Republican) politicians have set for our children. E.G., Joe is bragging about the economy, when it’s obviously not good thanks to his inflation, regulations, and anti-Trump policies that are good for people in the political class, but not the working class. Or take Bill Clinton’s lying about Monica, same thing. Or most (all?) of the liberal MSM that hasn’t apologized for promoting the Russian hoax, and telling us who the lying anonymous sources in the government who they colluded with to publish the fake story.
