Update: Maureen Dowd is the one who blabbed about Hollywood’s access to potentially top secret information and she blabbed the day after 30 U.S. military and 8 Afghans were shot down in Afghanistan. Read here: Cool Hand Dowd and here: Maureen Blabbermouth Dowd
I find it quite concerning that Maureen Dowd knows about Hollywood getting top level access, while a House Homeland Security Representative, namely Peter King, does not know. Here is here quote from the NY Times article: “…The White House is also counting on the Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal big-screen version of the killing of Bin Laden to counter Obama’s growing reputation as ineffectual. The Sony film by the Oscar-winning pair who made “The Hurt Locker” will no doubt reflect the president’s cool, gutsy decision against shaky odds. Just as Obamaland was hoping, the movie is scheduled to open on Oct. 12, 2012 — perfectly timed to give a home-stretch boost to a campaign that has grown tougher.
The moviemakers are getting top-level access to the most classified mission in history from an administration that has tried to throw more people in jail for leaking classified information than the Bush administration…”
Update: – Obama allowed the screenwriter for the Osama movie into the exclusive dinner held for the Seal team who killed Osama. Details of the action were shared in this venue. That screenwriter now knows the names of the Seal team and details of what went on. I thought this kind of thing was supposed to be confidential? This screenwriter who shares drinks at many a Hollywood party with the hate “anything not liberal crowd” is entrusted with this information? Should we be concerned? Do we need a Julian Assange when we have Obama?
Original Story: – There is a movie coming out three days before the Presidential election about the Osama-bin-Laden raid. It is aimed at glorifying Obama. Remember when the anti-Hillary movie was banned, and the movie about McCain’s bravery was prohibited before the election? Well, different standards now, and there are questions about not revealing the motives to the military. The bigger problem is that some of this information appears to be classified.
Rep. Peter King thinks Obama is giving classified information to movie studies regarding the Osama raid. More information will be posted on this later. Read about it on Rawstory.com.
Excerpt: …Congressman Peter King (R-NY) Wednesday on CNN accused the Obama administration of providing classified information to Sony Pictures and filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow for a film on the mission that killed Osama bin Laden.
“I’ve been contacted by so many people in the intelligence community over the last 90 days, outraged over so much sensitive material” being leaked, King said.
King, the Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, has called for an investigation into the leaking of “top-level access to the most classified mission in history.”
“This administration has revealed classified information, sensitive information, step-by-step, for the last 90 days,” King continued…
