Joshua Stuart Cobin, 29, an Antifa member from Scottsdale, who was hit in the balls by gas rounds as he was kicking gas canisters at police, was booked on three felony counts of aggravated assault on police and one misdemeanor count of unlawful assembly.

Police used tear gas and pepper balls to break up the rioting Antifa assaulting them in Phoenix after Trump’s rally. They were ready for Cobin.

Seconds after Cobin tried to assault police with a gas canister, he was hit with a non-lethal gas round in the pelvic area, dropping him to the ground.

The Antifa identified himself as the man seen on a now-viral video kicking a can of tear gas back at police officers during Tuesday night’s protests of President Donald Trump.

GUILTY! No trial needed!

He’s earned his nickname as pepper balls.

Another man in a Colin Kaepernick jersey helped Cobin out of the line of fire [see gif below].

Cobin thinks what he was doing wasn’t assault. “I don’t equate kicking or putting back tear gas canisters as attacking police. I never attacked a police officer,” he said.

“That was not an unlawful assembly and that I had every right to be there. And that tear gas was in the way of myself and every other peacefully assembled protesters being there,” he said.

On the video, he is clearly assaulting cops.

“He has posted images and admissions to his crime on social and local media outlets,” wrote Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Howard in an email announcing the arrest.

You can watch pepper balls get hit in the nuts in slow motion. It never gets boring.
