On Sunday, The Unite the Right and KKK attendees were frequently heard chanting “Commie faggots!” The Antifa responded, “We’re here, we’re gay, we fight the KKK!!” That became a rallying cry for a march in Richmond later that evening.
Investigative Reporter for WTVR Richmond, Melissa J. Hipolit was among several filming the large crowd of Antifa/Black Lives Matter chanting, “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA” as they headed for the Lee monument.
One screamed, “Stop filming bro” as a photographer who was not working at the time, began filming with his phone. The leftists screamed, yelled profanities at the film crew.
“I can film whatever I want,” the CBS 6 staffer replied. “Get out of my face.”

With that, the photographer’s phone was knocked out of his hand and a leftist hit him in the back of the head with a large stick.
He’s lucky he didn’t get hit with a stick with a nail in it since that is how they armed themselves.
You will find that in news reports the KKK and Unite the Right are always labeled but the violent leftists are simply called ‘protesters’. Make no mistake, Antifa and Black Lives Matter were leading their parade.
You can see the assault on this clip. What is interesting is the leftist tells the photographers that “none of your friends…not filming”. It sounds as if they have agreement with friends in the media to not film them. Combine that with the fact that they are never named and you have a cover up.
