Clash between “the Democrats” or the “New Yorkers” or “Goldman” vs. “Bannonites” and “Breitbart”
Axios is reporting that Reince Priebus will likely stay in his position as chief of state, but Steve Bannon’s position is far more tenuous because of his ongoing sparring with Jared Kushner. The hill is reporting that Priebus might also be fired.
Bannon’s a right-leaning strategist and the Kushners are Democrats though they recently registered as Republicans. Axios says they are results-driven but what they didn’t say is they want to bring Democrats into the decision making.
The Kushners see Bannon as a crash and burn ideologue and Donald Trump wants the warring to stop. He told them to work it out and the three are meeting this weekend to try and accomplish that. Word from axis is that “either Steve becomes a team player and gets along with people, or he’ll be gone.”
If Trump fires Bannon, many of the America First followers will abandon him. Trump’s on thin ice with some already over his treatment of the Freedom Caucus and for some on the right, the Syria strikes were not a plus.
According to the NY Times, closing the divide will be difficult. Mr. Bannon sees himself as the keeper of Mr. Trump’s campaign promises, and Mr. Kushner and Mr. Cohn, a longtime Wall Street executive, both Democrats, have competing ideologies.
The style being promoted, according to Axios sources, is not “nationalist vs. globalist”, but rather “combat vs. collaboration”. \
According to Axios, Bannon allies in and out of the White House are trying to save Bannon’s job.
Forces loyal to Bannon are clashing with those aligned with economic advisor Gary Cohn, Ivanka Trump, and former Goldman Sachs alum Dina Powell, allegedly.

Contrary to what Trump thinks about his followers not caring if he “shoots somebody and not lose voters”, he’s wrong.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) said Bannon being fired would be “welcome news” in an interview on a local radio show.
“I think it would be welcome news for the nation,” Ros-Lehtinen said on the “Fernand Amandi Show” on 610-WIOD in Miami.
“I think his days are numbered in that administration. And I think profound changes will be coming,” Ros-Lehtinen, predicting “a shakeup in the White House in the coming months.”
“[Bannon’s] views are not in line with our country,” she continued. “We are an inclusive country that welcomes different points of views. His ties to certain groups are very worrisome.”
That’s debatable.
Ros-Lehtinen’s comments on the radio show come just days after the former Breitbart News chief lost his controversial spot on the National Security Council and amid reports that Trump is considering ousting him from the White House altogether.
It is said that McMaster removed Bannon from the NSC with Trump’s permission.
Appearing on MSNBC’s AM Joy with host Joy Reid, former Breitbart executive Kurt Bardella said it will be “open warfare” on Trump if Kushner gets Bannon fired. “If Bannon is pushed out it will be open warfare from the outside in,” and the pages of Breitbart will be turned against Trump.
Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said none of this is true, but sources for the often fake news NY Times said Bannon is becoming increasingly isolated as the Kushners – basically Democrats – take over.
The Times also says Kushner, who is now a top adviser and a foreign envoy, was unhappy about Bannon criticizing him to aides. Bannon is said to dismissively refer to him as the “democrat”.
Also adding to the discontent is the increasingly negative coverage of Kushner by Breitbart – allegedly.
Bannon believes that without him, Donald Trump will be poison with the base who got him elected and few Democrats will vote for him to make up for those numbers.
Newt Gingrich said none of this is a concern it is normal tension and it’s the result of pressure after the failure of the healthcare bill. He believes it will blow over.
On the positive side, Donald Trump has appointed a neutral Supreme Court Justice, rid us of some regulations, he’s deporting illegal alien felons, and he is not Hillary Clinton.
Whatever way this turns out, Trump has saved the Supreme Court. For that we are grateful. We get to keep our guns which we will need if the unvetted refugees and illegal alien felons continue to pour in.
