Bill Ackman’s Back on Board and China Becomes the Main Event

MOSCOW, RUSSIA – MARCH 23: Chinese President Xi Jinping addresses students of MGIMO, on March 23, 2013 in Moscow.

Bill Ackman is back on board with President Trump and his tariffs. Bill Ackman was angry, then he walked it back, and now he’s back. That probably describes most people glued to the stock exchange as it tumbled.

President Trump paused tariffs for most of the world today while the US negotiates deals with them. Then, the President turned the tables on China. Now, everyone hates China for taking advantage of the US and other countries. Companies are rushing to find new suppliers.

Many people now feel they have some clarity: China is the main event.

He circled the wagons? Is this the plan?

Ackman is nothing but a self serving double talking greedy leftist, and an Israel first person. His lack of intelligence, and lack of concern for the USA, is obvious.

Explain again why we are supposed to hate China? It supplies most products Americans want. It does not have huge tariffs on products from America. Why does the US seemingly want to be in constant wars with other countries? Now, Iran and China? Trump promised no new wars but now seems intent on a war within the next two weeks with Iran and China. This could become a nuclear war. Why are we not engaging in diplomatic means of settling trade issues but instead using threats of violence and awful “sanctions”? China is a very important trading partner of the US and a very powerful nation. Why are we now in such a determined mode of starting a war with China?

Trying to explain to you would be a waste of time.

China’s markets are closed. Even the WTO acknowledges hundreds of billions stolen by China from the USA annually, but it does not get through your thick skull.

This story has NOTHING to do with Iran. Diversions are a sign of en empty argument. No threats have been made to China, you made that up.

More like the art of the refocus. They want all eyes on China so no one will pay attention to the other deals. But there is another thing to consider. Will Xi let Trump bitch him out and lose major face or is this the catalyst China needs to declare WAR? It reminds me of Japan’s oil embargo before WW2. The gullible public was so shocked Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. FDR played it up in his famous speak about Dec 7, 1941 being a day that will live in infamy. FDR was another affluent American. I hope I’m wrong.

Ackman’s childish and self serving rants lead you to conclude something about Trump??? No way. Ackman changes every week.

This is the opposite.

In WW2, we denied Japan badly needed oil, which there were using to invade Red China and the Pacific. We were justified in doing so for peace.

Now, we are reducing our purchases of Red Chinese products. We are denying Red China no products. Red China will attack us over our move to free trade??? That is silly.

I hope you are right. I hope my take on the asian psyche of losing face and honor driven is off base. The mechanism of hurting the leadership and economy may be different but the effect is the same. Lost face.

Bill Ackman and Jamie Dimon crying like little girls over the tariff’s is why Pres. Trump suspended them (except for China) for 90 days. Bill Ackman did not plan his risk strategy and was getting hammered. This is a defeat for Pres. Trump and America, he should have told Bill Ackman/Jamie Dimon to take their losses like a man and better luck next time.

It is important to study the history of tariffs.
Not understanding leads to foolish mistakes and false charges,
