California Voted for Water Storage and Newsom Did Nothing

1963

In 2014, Californians overwhelmingly voted to spend $7.5 billion on water storage and reservoirs. Gavin Newsom has not done any of that. Now, there is no water in some fire hydrants as homes and businesses burn down.

It’s not a surprise. Newsom doesn’t act in response to voters.

The biggest cheerleader for Proposition One was California Governor Jerry Brown. Rather than campaigning for re-election, he spent his time and money advocating for the bond’s passage.

“Proposition One is going to help us make some key investments to strengthen our water reliability and to make sure those people in the Central Valley who have to use buckets to take a shower can get water out of their tap,” says Brown.

Opponents of Proposition One weren’t surprised the measure passed. Barbara Barrigan-Parilla with Restore the Delta says they were far outspent.

Maybe the people wanted more water resources?

The National Guard

Where was the National Guard? They were finally called up this afternoon.

The following claim didn’t age well. His commitment is very questionable.

The left is already blaming this on climate change. Climate change isn’t responsible for the incompetence of the one-party government of LA, California.

Yeah Newsom is the Trudeau of the West. It would be great if he resigned too.

Paper, dry wood, dead leaves and stuff like that requires heat of at least 450 F to ignite, to catch on fire without an open flame.

Sun rays alone cannot make paper, wood or dead leave reach more than 150 F.

You need a magnifying glass or special mirrors to concentrate sun rays and get more than 150 F.

Where am I going with that ?

Global warming – as it is now – cannot make paper, wood or dead leaves catch on fire.

That the planet is 1 or 3 or 20 degrees warmer changes nothing, it is not enough to cause paper, wood or dead leaves to ignite.

It would have to be 450 F outside in the Los Angeles sun for global warming to make paper, wood and dead leaves catch on fire.

This is science.

The science deniers are the global warming believers.

“Climate Science” today is all about cherry-picking the data points to make some hysterical claim. This allows the participating regimes to force collect money and suspend liberties — for things those regimes can’t possibly change.

Ice samples deposited over millions of years have given us a fairly complete look at the climate over those years. The only thing constant in climate …. is change. Some of those changes in chemical composition and temperature of the planet put the biosphere out of our living parameters — our species could not have lived on earth in those eras.

While stopping *real* pollution is a good thing, the most effective thing we could do for climate change is stop the hot-air emissions of the politicians pie-holes.
