Greg Gutfeld gave an interesting analysis of CNN’s future with his usual humorous slant in the clip at the end, but, in general, we’re looking at changes in the failing, flailing network.
The boss of CNN’s new parent company Discovery, David Zaslav, said on Friday the network was “the leader in news to the left.” He quickly walked it back and said he didn’t mean politics, Fox News reports.
“We have this great entertainment menu, which should keep people in the home, from the kids to the grandparents. Why would they go anywhere else? And then we’re the leader in news to the left,” Zaslav told CNBC on Friday.
After Jeff Zucker resigned, many hoped they’d move to the center but his comments weren’t encouraging for the hopeful.
CNBC host Joe Kernan wondered aloud if it was a reference to CNN’s ideological bent.
“Definitely to the left. Did you say to the left?” Kernan said, before taking back the question, saying he “probably shouldn’t have said that.”
NEW OWNER JOHN MALONE
New part owner and billionaire media mogul and Donald Trump donor John Malone wants the network restored to impartiality after Jeff Zucker’s departure, according to a Daily Mail report published Friday.
Malone, the CEO of Liberty Media, a significant shareholder in Discovery whose acquisition of CNN parent company WarnerMedia is expected to pass regulatory approval and close as soon as May, pressed for Zucker to be fired, making it known that corporate procedures had to be followed to a T regarding Zucker’s situation, the report said.
Malone was reportedly a chief architect of the merger of Discovery and CNN, according to Mediaite.
“I would like to see CNN evolve back to the kind of journalism that it started with, and actually have journalists, which would be unique and refreshing,” said Malone recently during a CNBC interview. He is longtime chairman of Liberty Media, which is a major shareholder in Discovery and will be the controlling partner of the new media combination.
“I do believe good journalism could have a role in this future portfolio that Discovery-TimeWarner’s going to represent,” he said.
CNN’s viewership is down another 50% in the past year and it was already down.
DEPARTING OWNER AT&T
AT&T CEO John Stankey, who oversees WarnerMedia and CNN, and Discovery CEO David Zaslav on Friday didn’t give much information on Zucker’s resignation. But they did rebut reports that Malone had something to do with Zucker leaving.
“Jeff had a tremendous following within CNN, and there’s a lot of people who were incredibly loyal and supportive of him — that makes it hard for those individuals,” Stankey said on CNBC.
“I am not going to speculate on your theory” about Malone’s involvement, Stankey said. “I have always had a practice of not commenting on personnel decisions, and I’m not going to do that here,” reports Newsmax.
It seems really simple in the end. If they keep people like Brian Stelter, they have no intention of being neutral or leaning right. What do you think?

CNN (Clinton News Network) has always been a Democrat Propaganda Operation. To get back to the “Middle”, CNN would have to fire 95% of their employees. CNN has become more of a Satin’s Cult than a News Organization. Just replacing the Anchors isn’t enough. CNN has to change it’s Extreme Liberal Cult Culture. It’s not that viewers left CNN, it’s that CNN moved so far left they had no viewers that crazy. Their Propaganda was so extreme that even Far Left Liberals couldn’t buy into it anymore.
But then FOX is moving Left also and losing many of its base viewers to companies like News Max. If FOX didn’t have Tucker, Hannity, and Gutfeld, it would be CNN. Tucker, Nannity, and Gutfeld work because they don’t try to claim they are news people. They openly and proudly tell you they are opinion peddlers, not journalist. A journalist simply reports the facts, but facts are boring and don’t make for good ratings. Tucker, Nannity, and Gutfeld do report news, but follow up with their opinion and don’t hide the fact that it’s their opinion. CNN and other FOX commentator mess up by not openly acknowledging they are bias. Listening to people like Geraldo Rivera or Juan Williams is like finger nails on a chalk board because they refuse to acknowledge just how Liberal they are. It’s the same with most of the Female personalities on FOX. They always seem like they are trying to be conservative, but are uncomfortable with the label. Notable exception are Kat Timpf who is unapologetically Libertarian, Shannon Bream who is pretty level headed, and of course Ainsley Earhardt is a Solid Conservative and Strongly Religious. I also have a lot of respect for Janice Dean for going after Cuomo. Journalism only works when people are true to their believes and don’t hide their Personal Beliefs from the public.
Minutes before I read this article I read one that describes some of the weird things that were going on at CNN…they call it a sex party…that is how weird it was…
Lots of CNN people were cheating on their spouse, having affairs with other CNN employees, including Zucker of course.
I think CNN will remain a leftist source of propaganda, but might be a bit more ” professional ” about it, may tone it down a bit, may be more neutral here and there… while still brainwashing its already left leaning audience into hating anyone who is not a liberal , hating anyone from Trump to the truckers of the freedom convoy.
Pardon my pessimism but I think leftists have infiltrated almost every level of society, and have put in place corrupt-bribed leftists everywhere from school administrations to the the high courts and it will take years or decades to go back to a more normal situation.
Leftism has spread like a virus, and it will take a long time to fix this.
and the more power leftists have, the sicker their ideas are.

Not only is CNN a losing money pit for AT&T it is an embarrassment. CNN it’s a dead fish walking. It requires a complete makeover. LIke making Ann Coulter the head of the network. Heck, she isn’t even too fond of DJT, but I’m sure he can live with it. Ann may not be the one but that’s the type of change they need to make. (Maybe our own M.Dowling?) Malone is the smartest money maker in big media and he doesn’t buy things that don’t increase this multi billion net worth. He also is a big Trump supporter to the tune of millions.
