Sen. Chuck Schumer promised Republicans that Rep. Mike Pompeo would be approved by Inauguration Day.
That didn’t happen and Republicans accused him of lying, lying wouldn’t be unusual for Schumer. Cotton went over to confront Schumer on the senate floor.
Cotton said to Schumer, “Hey you promised you were going to hold this vote. You didn’t hold it.”
“Well where were you eight years ago when we were trying to get through all of President Obama’s nominees?” Schumer said.
Cotton told him, “Eight years ago I was getting my a** shot at in Afghanistan… so don’t talk to me about where I was eight years ago.”
He then walked away but if anyone thinks that would in any way embarrass Chuck U Schumer, they should think again.
The fact is that by Inauguration Day, 7 of Obama’s nominees were appointed. Schumer knows that.
