Creepy Connections Between The Muslim Brotherhood and DHS

A post by Rep. Jason Chaffetz should be getting attention. Rep. Chaffetz, in a statement on his site, wrote that the US is going to train Libyans in flight operations and nuclear-related fields just as Libya is under imminent threat of being toppled by The Muslim Brotherhood. At the same time, The Department of Homeland Security’s counterterrorism program relies on some questionable people and a worrisome PC ideology.

Thirty years ago, Libyans were banned from working or training in “aviation maintenance, flight operations, or nuclear-related fields” because of acts of terrorism connected to Libyans. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is about to pass a regulation that will lift the ban.

“The administration justifies lifting this ban by claiming that the United States’ relationship with Libya has been ‘normalized,’” a statement released by Rep. Chaffetz said.

He continued, “…It is unbelievable that this Administration would again put Americans in harm’s way by lifting a decades old security ban on a country that has become a hotbed of terrorist activity. We must work with the Libyans to build mutual trust that ensures safety and prosperity for both countries to enjoy.”

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte said, “It is shocking that the Obama Administration is turning a blind eye to real terrorist threats that exist in Libya today.”

After Benghazi it become very clear that Libya is overrun by al Qaeda. We fled Benghazi after 9/11/2012 because terrorists are in control. The Libyan government is barely holding on as The Muslim Brotherhood attempts to topple the government.

Who are the people making the policy decisions at DHS these days? Two of the DHS officials are possibly connected to questionable groups.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that an advisor to DHS, Mohamed Elibiary, tweeted on Thursday that America is a Muslim country. A twitter user named Tim Lee asked Elibiary to show him one example of an Islamic country where non-Muslims are treated with equality.

Elibiary responded: “America and yes I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution. Move On!”

In the past, Elibiary has called Egypt’s dictator wannabe Mohammed Morsi “Egypt’s Mandela.” He supports The Muslim Brotherhood despite their acts of terror and claims they are no threat to the United States.

He has served on the DHS’ “Countering Violent Extremist Working Group,” as well as its “Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.”

In response to the tweet: “This isn’t just a foreign policy issue,” said Ryan Mauro, a national security analyst for the Clarion Project. “Elibiary’s beliefs are reflected in DHS training guidelines that leave counter-terrorism personnel unaware that the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood even exists.”

Elibiary has close ties to a convicted Hamas fundraiser and other radical Islamist causes, including a nonprofit that proclaims sharia is the only legitimate law according to Islam.

Elibiary is said to have written Mr. Obama’s speech in Egypt calling for the Arab spring.

In 2009, another devout Sunni Muslim, Arif Alikhan, was appointed Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy Development at the Department of Homeland Security. He was Deputy Mayor to left-wing Mayor Villraigosa. In that position he was able to derail the LAPD’s plans to monitor the Muslim community where numerous radical mosques and madrassas existed, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.

Alikhan is anti-Israel. There are claims that he is pro-Hezbollah and calls them a “liberation movement” despite the fact that Hezbollah is on the “terror watch list.”  He has denied that and now says Hezbollah is a terrorist organization.

Last December, an important Egyptian magazine reported that the US has six Muslim Brotherhood operatives working in the government. Arif Alikhan was one of the six named in the mostly unsourced article.

Also mentioned were: Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

The pillar of Obama’s counterterrorism efforts is Muslim outreach. Immediately after the Boston bombings, representatives from the departments of Justice and Homeland Security turned to Muslim communities, not about the unfolding investigation, but to offer assistance in case they suffered backlash or threats!

DHS is more outreach than it is security these days.
