Cuomo Gives Us a Rare Peek Into How Media Looks at Communism

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, the brother of New York governor Andrew Cuomo and son of former governor Mario, was in Cuba this past week covering Barack Obama’s ‘historic’ visit to Cuba.

Cuomo, wearing a shirt given to his father Mario by murderer Fidel Castro, told his team back home that communism is all about “lifting everyone up” and “making everyone equal.”

He didn’t wear the shirt because it “came from Fidel Castro necessarily, but because it marked conversations going on decades ago that were the same as those today” he told the ladies of CNN.

“The concern was the freedom of the people,” he continued. “What is the point of this communist regime if it is not to truly make everyone equal — not at the lowest level; not by demoralizing everyone; but lifting everyone up? My father, generations of politicians, have been fighting this. So, I wear this shirt as a reminder of that, and of my pop. So, there’s your answer, ladies…”

In February of 2015, Chris Cuomo said “Our laws do not come from God, your honor, and you know that. They come from man.”

In an exchange with Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore about Mr. Moore’s refusal to adhere to a federal appellate judge’s order to ignore the state constitution and begin granting marriage licenses to same-sex couples, Mr. Moore said “…our rights contained in the Bill of Rights do not come from the Constitution, they come from God.”

Mr. Cuomo disagreed: “Our laws do not come from God, your honor, and you know that. They come from man.”

Communism inspires people, lifts them up, and our rights come from the State. Did you know that? The people in the Soviet Union were really lifted up and Mao did a lot to make everyone equal.

The media people are just like Bernie who deplored Ronald Reagan who was anti-Communist and who admires the communists.
