D.C. and New York City Officials Want Non-US Citizens to Vote in Local Elections

If you are a foreigner and a resident of D.C., you might soon be able to vote in D.C. local elections. D.C. Council member David Grosso, pictured below, introduced legislation Tuesday that would give legal residents the right to vote in municipal elections..

The Local Resident Voting Rights Act of 2015 would allow permanent residents to cast ballots in local elections simply because they pay taxes.

The leftists don’t care about the Constitution, sovereignty, the rights of citizens, none of that matters.

Nearby Takoma Park and a half a dozen other towns in Maryland already allow non-US citizens to vote. Chicago allows all residents to vote in school board elections.

Laws like this are clearly unconstitutional. It’s a breakdown of our laws and it will allow foreigners to determine the outcome of our elections. Municipal elections are critical to our future.

The same thing is going on in New York City.

Council member Daniel Dromm (D-Queens) is set to introduce legislation soon that would allow non-citizens who are in the country legally to vote in local elections. De Blasio hasn’t said where he stands but we know where he stands.

Under current law, it is a federal crime for a non-citizen to vote or register to vote in such an election, punishable by imprisonment and/or the initiation of removal proceedings against that individual.
