Democrats say the Red Flag database cannot include gang databases

Democrats advanced a new measure this week to encourage states to pass “red flag” laws. These so-called extreme risk protection orders authorize removing guns and ammunition from individuals deemed as dangerous by some anonymous, unaccountable person, but it would not include the ready-made lists of gang members.

Republicans tried to add an amendment including known gang members, but the Democrats will not permit the inclusion of gang databases. It’s odd since gangs are the ones causing most of the so-called gun violence.

They would agree to include the names of white supremacists, but not other terror groups.

The House Judiciary rejected any effort by Republicans to include gang databases since they are worried about people mistakenly taken for a gang member. They brought up the ‘no-fly, no-buy’ list which was filled with inaccuracies, but Rep. Ken Buck, a Colorado Republican, who hoped to amend the measure to include gang databases, reminded the Democrats the restrictions for placing someone on a gang database are much tougher than the no-fly list.

“This is a situation where the police officers are trained, and there are very identifiable signs, and it isn’t just one sign,” Buck told Chair Jerrold Nadler.

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, of California, offered to support the amendment if Buck agreed to include those listed “individuals affiliated with white nationalism.”

Buck agreed, but said the language should include “any type of supremacy.”

“Let’s add Costa Nostra to this,” Buck added.

Democrats were uninterested and the amendment ultimately failed.

Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia called out Democrats for their hypocrisy, reminding the committee of a ‘sit-in’ on the House floor during which the GOP majority in 2016 could not conduct business until they passed, ‘no-fly, no-buy” to prevent people on the no-fly list from purchasing guns.

“It’s amazing to me,” Collins said. “We had a large blow-up on the floor of this House just a couple years ago about the No-Fly, No-Buy list, which was shown to have issues, but at that point, nobody from the other side brought this as a concern, and now we are bringing it as a concern,” Collins said.

“If we can’t bring this list up, even with the due process put in, then don’t ever bring the No-Fly, No-Buy list up again.”

“Don’t ever bring it up again because there is no due process on that list.”

IT’S MORE THAN HYPOCRITICAL, IT’S A VIOLATION OF OUR CIVIL RIGHTS

It’s more than hypocrisy, it’s the furtherance of a two-tiered justice system with only one party getting what they want.

The real irony here is that they won’t put gang members in the database but these same people aren’t the least bit concerned about reports by anyone about anyone. Joe Blow reports his neighbor, no problem, put him in the database. There is no problem with putting the mentally handicapped in the database as if all of them were a threat.

They also don’t care about due process and have taken the first step towards abolishing it with these laws. They will put in the names of white supremacists but not other terrorists.

Law-abiding citizens can have their rights violated but not gang members or terrorists.

It’s the Joos silly. Disarming whites, see Noahide Laws signed by Bush Sr.decades ago! John 2:22-23 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also

The takeover is so complete we have no idea. We have 501c3 corporations masquerading as churches, if they fail to stay in their lane and preach prohibited material they lose their tax exempt status. So they tell us that those who hate Christ are chosen while those who meet all the prophecies, promises, curses marks and blessings of scriptures given unto Israel are not? We are being denied a homeland and self-protection all the while FOREIGNERS ARE Given protected status? Wake up white folks! Noahide laws are here and the GOP is doing NOTHING to protect us.

And there ya go: Proof positive that “Red Flag Laws” are not about public safety or crime prevention, but a political weapon.

As if we need another reason to flush these unconstitutional laws. Politicians on both sides who support this notion will regret the day they ever heard of red flag laws. They’re so incendiary, they could cost the president his deserved reelection. Their legacies will carry a Supreme Court scolding and perhaps be the landmark of their careers.

Writers, politicians and demonstrators have been hoodwinked by Bloomberg’s rhetoric and haven’t read his 2018 data. It reveals gun homicides declined seven percent, firearm injuries declined 10 percent, fatal child shootings (under 18) declined 12 percent and unintentional shootings plummeted 21 percent.

Generally, since 1991, the murder rate has fallen by 45 percent and the overall violent crime rate has fallen by 48 percent. It’s bizarre that Bloomberg wants to change all that. Since 1999, the statistical probability of a student being killed in school by a gun has been one in 614,000,000.

Inexplicably, Bloomberg wants everyone to believe the nation is in crisis, suffering an epidemic. Folks, there is no crisis, no epidemic. Generally, shooting incidents involving students have been declining since the ’90s.

During that time, citizens were buying a record number of firearms. In 2018, more than 26 million firearms were purchased, a number exceeded only by 27.5 million in 2016 when purchasers were mortified that Hillary might be elected.

The Supreme Court isn’t about to jeopardize its own reputation by reducing the ability of private citizens to defend themselves. It’s especially important because currently, half the nation’s murders occur in only 63 counties while the other half are spread across the other 3,081 counties. Said another way, 15 percent had one murder and 54 percent of the nation’s counties had no murders at all.

Besides, they’re sick of our paralyzed congress creating ambiguous laws that ultimately land in the Supreme Court. They know it’s easy to blame the tools used for murder and to write acts that impede acquisition by peaceable, lawful citizens.

They know it’s far more difficult to focus on the more complex reality of why incomprehensible murderers do what they do. If something is to be done, perhaps it should be focused on the mental defectives, criminals, terrorists and illegal aliens.

The fuller evolution of red flag laws lies ahead. First, it will be people who either have a real concern or they simply want to sic government on people that they don’t like. Next, it will be institutions like schools and leftist corporations like Google or Dick’s recruiting those under their control to look for opportunities to expose people who own guns. This is potentially set to evolve into a society-wide witch hunt, where everyone who owns guns is ultimately reported to authorities, just like the reporting of people who might be disloyal to the state. It could be better for leftists and other traitors than gun registration, since it is all geared toward exposing gun owners to the scrutiny of the whole society.
