A Navy destroyer opened fire Sunday in the Strait of Hormuz after four Iranian patrol boats harassed the ship. At the same time, Obama approved transfer of enough uranium to Iran to make ten nuclear bombs.

The USS Mahan, a guided-missile destroyer, fired three warning shots at four Iranian boats. At least one of them traveled within 900 yards of the Mahan.

It was traveling north through the strait toward the Persian Gulf with two other Navy vessels, the amphibious craft USS Makin Island and the oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl, a U.S. defense official said.

The Iranian boats “broke away after the warning shots were fired,” and they established contact with the Mahan by radio by asking for its course and speed, a U.S. defense official said.

On Monday, Iran’s parliament approved expanded military spending, including funding for its long-range missile program. The only purpose of ICBMs is to bomb countries though they claim they are not designed for nuclear warheads. Iran claims they can already reach Israel.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency said the spending will include armed drones and cyber-warfare capabilities.

The Obama administration approved a uranium shipment from Russia to Iran that is capable of making ten nuclear bombs. It can supply the core of an atom bomb. Last year, the administration approved a similar transfer.

In April, the administration acted as Iran’s financial advisor and helped them secure billions that they have admitted will be used, at least in part, for military purposes and terrorism.

After giving $1.7 billion in gold and cash to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in the dark of night, the U.S. administration helped Iran secure another $10 billion in sanctions relief.

In 2013, Obama promised Iran billions if they kept talking to the US and their European cohorts.
