Drew Brees in big trouble for one sentence about honoring the flag

Drew Brees is in big trouble with the media and his teammates for saying he would never disrespect the American flag. Because of that, he is also being hammered all over social media. Specifically, he said, “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country.”

He wasn’t even talking about the riots/protests.

Sadly, Mr. Brees apologized for saying nothing wrong.

“I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday. In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused.”

The murder of George Floyd and the ensuing riots/protests has the NFL players talking about kneeling during the anthem again. That dishonorable practice was started by Colin Kaepernick, a Marxist who talks about how oppressed he has been while making millions of dollars a year.

When professional sports resumes and the NFL season starts, it’s likely that more athletes will follow Kaepernick’s lead by disrespectfully kneeling during the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

During a conversation with Yahoo Finance, Drew Brees made it clear he won’t be in solidarity with those who choose to do so:

FELLOW ATHLETES AND MEDIA — STALINISTS — ARE ATTACKING HIM

Fellow athletes are coming back hard at the New Orleans Saints quarterback with LeBron James leading the way.

NY Newsday insulted him and dishonestly titled their article, ‘Brees never agree to knee.’

LeBron, who is in bed with Chinese Communists, has many in the NFL trashing Brees.

Former NBA player Stephen Jackson, who was a friend of Floyd’s, applauded Brees’ teammates for calling him out.

Martellus Bennett put out an impassioned Twitter thread in response. Here are two of the comments:

Former Eagle Malcolm Jenkins ripped into Brees, saying he is “part of the problem.”

It also brought out all the sewer rats on social media. The Stalinist #CancelDrewBrees was trending for a day. How sick is this?

You never apologize to the comrades and get this through your head…they hate America and traditional Americans and will eventually do something about it that you won’t like.

This man is rich and he still would not sacrifice anything for his country. When will someone other than Trump stand up for the USA.

He could retire anytime. He is worried more about the hall of fame than the USA.

Wait a moment: What sort of trouble? Harassment on Twitter is merely a nuisance. Has Brees been attacked physically? Has his family been threatened? Has his employment been endangered?

We should stop treating these “social media” foofaurauws as anything but the tempests in a teapot they are. As for “sports columnists,” you know the saying: Those who can, do; those who can’t criticize from the sidelines.

The enemy within was working overtime whilst you slept…they even used your army to create a now “almost” irreversible situation…they defeat Trump the world goes into permanent “lockdown”. The sold out media, main stream and social, will no longer be needed except for their usual vacuous out put….and the rioters will soon find out how “redundant” they really are…

So now anyone with an American flag in front of their house could become a target.

Let them bring it on. I fly my Stars and Stripes because it represents the United States and the American citizens. I’m proud of my country, our founders and what they accomplished in creating our constitutional republic, our military, our police, our firemen, Americans who are builders and not destroyers, everyday Americans who go about their lives without being a burden on anybody else, the well documented charity of American citizens for those in need and what Americans have accomplished throughout our relatively brief history including making slavery illegal and unconstitutional which many African countries have not. What I am not proud of is the greed and lust for power by too many of our supposed leaders. I agree with you that makes me a target these anti America, communist goons and the other useful idiots. I can’t say I’m ready or won’t go down but when they draw first blood they will know they’ve been in a fight.
