FBI Director Comey Will Testify June 8th to Possible Obstruction of Justice by Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee next Thursday, June 8, where he will be questioned regarding Russian interference in the election. Trump has a lot of enemies on that committee.

Unnamed sources allegedly told the mainstream media that Comey will testify that Trump pressured him to drop the Russia investigation.

Comey will testify publicly and in closed session.

According to anonymous sources, Comey alleged in a memo that Trump asked him to shut down the FBI investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn because “he is a good guy.”

Trump and his team denied the characterization of the conversation.

At the end of May, anonymous sources said former FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify that he believes President Trump was deliberately trying to meddle in the FBI’s investigation of Russian interference in the presidential election, according to CNN.

The Democrats are pushing for impeachment based on obstruction of justice.

Washington Examiner reports that Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said Thursday he’d be surprised if former FBI Director James Comey testified that he was pressured by President Trump to drop his Russia investigation, because Comey has already told the Senate that he had not seen that kind of political pressure.”That would surprise me. I’m on the Judiciary Committee, and just a few weeks ago, we had still-director Comey come and testify.

“Someone asked him about political pressure, and he said this is something I haven’t seen, and something in my experience has not occurred,” he said.

The condescending host Allisyn Camerota is hard to listen to in this next clip.

However, through a source, a friend at the Brookings Institute, Jim Comey says that he thought since the conversations were nuanced he could school Trump but now realizes, after his firing, that Trump’s intent is more problematic than what he originally thought, according to the source.

MSM claims the preponderance of evidence could show intent. For example, the investigation will now include interviews with everyone who is in any way tied to this case. If they say Trump fired Comey because of Russia, they think they can establish intent according to the media.

The FBI Director who could find no intent in Hillary’s obvious criminal behavior suddenly thinks there is intent in Trump’s nuanced conversations.

If Comey felt he was being pressured, he was obligated to report it. He suggested the opposite during recent testimony before he was fired.

If he was feeling pressured, he didn’t tell his second in command,

Deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe reported that the White House did not interfere in any investigations this month.
